We got an Aqualux enclosure installed and the quality is exellent. Ours was on offer £100 off from Homebase when they had one of those 40% off weekends, however we went home and ordered it from their web site which piled another 20% off on top. As far as I remember it was around the £450 mark all inclusive and £4.99 for their blade squegee thingy.copy.pngfavicon.icofavicon.icofavicon.icotrans.png

Just pull up center bit to remove and clean. I think Aquadart and Cavalier are part of the same company (though I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong ;))

Ah yes! That's what I've included on my quote. I will be ordering one for each tray.

Thanks for the possible heads up on them being the same company. Makes me feel a bit better as they haven't confirmed for me yet. To be fair, the prices of this place seem great but I think I got a little unlucky with the person I'm liasing with - though I could be wrong!

Still thanks very much for the pointer though Canuckle! You could be my personal shopper for all the plumb and CH side of things. Speaking of which I need to pay the plumbers for first fix tomorrow - never the fun bit! boooo! lol

sorry to resurect the thread, but thought it better than just starting another one, especially as this thread has pointed me towards a door.

Our current shower door is crap and leaks (victoria dumb cheapo) so thats coming out, the builder has seen a cheap aqualux on sale at selco builders merchants, for comparison here is a link to it I think http://www.mbd-bathrooms.co.uk/FEN0898AQU-760mm_aqualux_shine_bifold_shower_door.html and it does not look "bad" but not sure it looks good, at selco I think its £100 (could be very wrong and waiting for confirmation from him) and after all this hastle I dont want to be ripping another door out, but this is MSE after all so dont want to blow the budget ;)

with that in mind I see the geo6 range seems to get praise, I have seen that from http://www.mbd-bathrooms.co.uk/G63200CP-twyford_bathrooms__geo6_760mm_bifold_door.html I can get it one delivered for £187 which seems a very good deal to me, what I am less sure on is how these close, I was hoping for some snug magnet action to reasure me the door will close well, but seem to see little on this.

What is everyones opinions on these doors and this online supplier ?

    Cheers all.
  • When we did our bathroom three years ago, I bought all the stuff from Inspired Bathrooms - they were consistently cheaper than I could find elsewhere http://www.inspired-bathrooms.co.uk/ They do their own shower enclosures which are actually Matrix Bathrooms brand and seem very solid - we've not had any problems with them. They are local to me so I had the benefit of being able to visit their showroom - they were very helpful and I would recommend checking them out

its typical read all the pretty advertising bumpf and are none the wiser, 5 seconds with the bland install doc and hey presto magnets ;)

random question, why does it say to seal the lower part on the outside and not the inside, seems wierd to want to let it trap water at the bottom of the door frame, must be a logical reason tho I suppose.
