Treat it as unsolicited goods. Contact the company and advise them that you're not the intended recipient (which you already have). They have 30 days to collect at their expense after which time it becomes yours. If you don't contact them then the goods become yours after six months. You've done all your need to do pitsmoor. Don't worry about it.

Are the goods worth having? ;)

Lol. Exactly let them worry about it when the intended customer complains about a missing delivery.

You've done as much as you can, so just put it in your cupboard, write a date on it for 6 months time, and if no one comes to collect it by then, it's yours!

(keep note of the times and dates you contacted them, phoned them, visited them, sent parcel back etc...)
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Presumably then it will eventually end up being barred from the network, and therefore of no use to you after a while at best.

None of us are perfect, though some of us aspire to be and see no harm in encouraging others to do the same. :A

Did it come directly from Apple, if so they seem pretty useless at keeping track of things.

Was there any documentation inside the box that could make you think there's a contract been set up at your address. You could get into a situation where Mr X at your house is not paying the monthly charge.
