Pigpen - excellent news!

Just a quick post as I have to take DD1 to her 2nd interview of the Business and Management Apprecticeship.

WM on, TD on (it's drizzling). Must rush little ones and self to dress and get out for 9.45.....


Monday ~ Kitchen and Dining area

ALL DONE :j

Tuesday - Sitting Room and Hallway
Level One
Open the windows and turn on some music!
Vacuum floors and sofas!
Declutter the chairs, floor and top of any cupboards!
Level Two
Vacuum under any furniture you can.. please don't injure yourselves!
Sort out coats, shoes and bags
[STRIKE]Clean any ornaments, glass, mirrors, pictures etc
[/STRIKE]Level Three
Check those smoke alarms!
Wipe sofas, [STRIKE]paintwork and dusty places
HHC in the hallway.. vacuum floors/stairs, wipe paintwork, fling that junk mail!.. if there is a charity shop bag.. FILL IT!
Empty [/STRIKE]and wash out vacuum cleaner.. don't forget filters!
Extras

1. Catch up on some calls/emails
2. Binbag dance
3. Clean switches and sockets
4. Wipe the windows in these areas

Great news, pigpen.
Mummyyof5 - hope you had a lovely evening out.

Just realised that I've been up for 3 hours and don't seem to have achieved much. I hope that I'll feel better about it if I list it here.
TD and WM on. Breakfast x2 made and eaten (DH doesn't bother and DS1 got his own). 4 leaflets each in 200 papers for DS1 (just so that they could go in the trolley out of the way). Found homes for 35 bottles of water and 27 small cartons of juice - needed to rearrange cupboard in dining room and wipe floor where water bottles are kept. Wiped cleared kitchen worktop so it stays nice. Accepted delivery for NN.

I also had a row with DS1 who has been very cheerful but uncooperative since we've been back. Told him to have a sensible conversation with me about what he needs to do if he wants to have pocket money/guitar lessons etc.

HHC at 10.50, anyone? I can just squeeze it in before shower, lunch and physio at 1pm. We'll need to be out of the house by 12.30, I think. I've not been to that place since my mum had to go there after her stroke (it's a small hospital). I didn't rate it much then, and it's also where she passed away, so I expect some sad memories to be stirred up.

Am at home today as was up in the night. Have this morning decluttered french student to class and walked the dog at the same time. Have come back and spent the morning asleep. DS is just getting up out of his pit, DD is sleeping again and DH has gone to bed after is last night shift.

Need to get my list together and see if I can achieve something today as my stomach allows.

Wipe small appliances and replace.. clean 1 to perfection..
Wipe table and replace cloth if needed

Tidy the undersink cupboard.. only put back what is supposed to be there!!
Wipe over oven

Dejunk windowsills
Degunge deterrgent drawers, filters and doorseals!!!
Degrot tiles
Empty and wash out bins!

Rant alert! Why do people make arrangements and then not turn up or phone..grrhh...have taken a day off especially (though I am doing lots of other things as well).

haircut pm (I look like a shaggy dog atm)
finish updating church accounts (90% there, just a bit of credit control, and a few emails to go)
Ironing mountain
more washing if weather clears
[STRIKE]sort lounge (some new bits of furniture don't look right - needs a move about)[/STRIKE]even washed companian set, fireplace etc - but have odd ring mark on the slate hearth - keep wiping it with stardrops & microfibre cloth as I pass, think its fading..unless anyone has any other suggestions?

another trip to the tip (been once already today)
supermarket shop, with list of those odd things we need, after looking in kitchen cupboards first (spices, herbs, oil, those sort of bits)
buy DS's school trousers - look at a suits as well (we are at a wedding soon and current one is I think too short!)
start spot treating carpets downstairs - waiting on a good weather day before I steam wash them

I have absolutly no get up and go today, really starting to think I have seasonal affective disorder as when its dull outside I'm useless!!

Morning ...just

Got up early with good intentions and sorted all of Mondays list. Yesterday was spent blitzing the Pit. Now have a mound of washing from floordrobe to do, mainly thousands of socks that have emerged from TD, got as far as the bed ready for that all important task of pairing:mad: and then been skilfully placed on floor when OH has wanted to go to bed, sat on by mut, walked over (cos that's easier than picking up)and generaally left. So all back into Wm again. I'm glad I'm not a sock:rotfl::rotfl:

Unfortunately got distracted when I came on here and have spent past hour ringing round the inner sanctum to see if they are up for a bargain spa day. Although a quick q&a I end up catching up with news etc (ie having a good natter) so 4 calls took a lot longer than anticipated.

If anyone in Worcs area, MalvernSpa on offer at lastminute.com. Went at Easter with the inner sanctum and was blissful.:j

Well now I've got that treat to look forward to sometime in the next 6 months, I'd best get back to Tues list .... and the wash mountain.
