Euro car parks - parked in hatched area

Can anyone give me any advise please, i was parked on a car park today in a parking space, i had paid for my ticked but was parked just over the white line and into the yellow area as the car parked in the space next to me was right up to the lines and my son couldn't of got out of the car without damage. The painted yellow area was just a section where they couldn't fit another space in. £50 fine but only £30 if i pay within 14 days. Do i pay this or ignore ?????

Make a lovely paper airplane out of the invoice0

It is not a fine and has no legal validity. Just ignore but when the inevitable threatening letters appear, come back on here to get reassurance. You will be threatened with court action but they are all empty threats to scare you into paying.Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0

You could even return said paper aeroplane to them as a gift (perhaps they accept it as an alternate form of payment?)
Leave the stamp off so they pay postage0 -
I am thinking not pay as the yellow marked area wasn't even big enough to park a shopping trolley in so no loss of revenue to them0

These so called tickets are NOT enforceable, so please don't fall into their scam trap, they will not take you to court, and if they did they would lose because there was no loss to them, private companies legally cannot fine you unless they act for a council for parking, if you don't see their logo on there completely ignore.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -

You have not received a fine. It's not a fine, nor a penalty, just an invoice you must ignore, as others have already said. In fact it wouldn't matter if you'd parked completely on yellow hatched marks or even on double yellow lines in a private car park, as all markings on private land mean absolutely zilch - including (in England & Wales) 'disabled' bays, not that I would condone parking there at all.
Anyway, never mind about 'thinking about not paying' - of course you shouldn't pay it!
I didn't pay my Euro Car Parks ticket and that was over a year ago now. Nothing happens, they just send 3 letters to the registered keeper with bold writing and lies about Court and CCJs. They give up when you ignore them, 'tis just a storm in a teacup.
There are already at least 2 recent Euro Car Parks threads on this board, look here and go back a page or two and click and read the responses on those threads:

If you read the answers given to other people, you will see that you just need to ignore the letters. On the threads on that link you'll also find a 'sticky' at the top, 'PPC letters/threats, what to expect' showing you preview pictures of the letters you'll get.
And here's a link to a recent Watchdog programme where their legal bod correctly told viewers that PPC tickets are trash, and showed everyone that they are useful only to make paper aeroplanes from (hence the comments above!):

Now make a paper aeroplane out of yours, and do the same with the letters that follow.
Oh, did I say this was a scam? The whole PPC industry is a money-making scam. Just for fun, park there again and laugh at the poor idiot issuing the fake 'mickey mouse' tickets. Sad, sad, sad job to have, worse than a real traffic warden - at least their fines are real.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
