How do I stop the Nokia PC suite running at startup please? I do want the program, but I want it to run when I want it to, not when it feels it should.

Probably by fixing these two entries in HiJackThis:-
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [PC Suite Tray] "C:\Program Files\Nokia\Nokia PC Suite 7\PCSuite.exe" -onlytray

    O23 - Service: ServiceLayer - Nokia - C:\Program Files\PC Connectivity Solution\ServiceLayer.exe

You may need to leave the service enabled, but the pcsuite can be run manually

Ok, got that. I deleted the RUN one only, and it doesn't run at startup, but is still there for when I want it. :D

And what would be my next course of action, as a full Malwarebytes scan causes it to crash, even in safe mode? :(

I "fixed" the wormradar thingy too. Hope that was the right thing to do. :o

What do you mean by crash?

    Follow this

removing ctfmon - control panel, regional and language options, languages, details, advanced, tick the Turn off advanced text services, ok

Disable JavaQuickStarterService (jqs.exe) - control panel, java, advanced, misc, untick java quick starter and place icon in tray, and untick everything under debugging

Disable machine debug manager(MDM.EXE) - IE, tools, internet otions, advanced, disable script debugging

then using hijackthis, tick these, then fix selected.

Screen scrambles & freezes, no response from PC, couldn't see it even if there was because the screen's scrambled. Have to reboot.

Did these yesterday. First was already ticked, couldn't find the third at first but eventually found the right bit (I hope) through the CP - internet options.

If it's Yahoo messenger, yes. I hate it, but have to have it. :(
Logitech messenger, no, but I do occasionally use the webcam, in conjunction with Yahoo messenger.
Pokerstars I use rarely these days, but don't want to get rid.
