    Hi All

I am back from hols in Devon to the land of comping. (Got back on Saturday but spent most of Sat\Sun washing\ironing\cleaning etc)

Got carded by APC while away and whilst driving over to collect the parcel and dreaming of it being an Ipad, new lappy etc, I realised it was probably by Starburst beachball, which it was :o

But still very grateful as kids love it, and also came back to another WEM. (Both posted and thanked on IWIW).

I also got sent a PM to vote for someone which I thought was a bit odd, but I see I am not the only one.

Anyway happy comping all. To save me reading back 9 days of pages...Have I missed anything exciting??

Hope you enjoyed your hols BBThree. I have been discussing going to Torquay today already. Were you near there?

Thanks for the list Korky. Think the spammers have had a holiday today, I have only had one item!

hiya jay & Rainey LB  there's a list in the comping guide for spammy sites to avoid, hth xx

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1014121

11 Are there any sites, from experience, which are likely to generate lots of spam?
There are a few which have come to our collective attention as sites that, when used for comps, seem to generate lots of unwanted postal, email & phone call attention. These are listed below for your information, however, please do remember that this is only the collective opinion of other MSE Compers & does not necessarily reflect upon the sites themselves.

    :)

Thanks Korky, I've bookmarked your post. :A:A

We were staying in Brixham which is very near to Torquay. I can definately vouch for Trago Mills in Newton Abbot (already mentioned on here) for a great day out, and we also did go into Torquay and Paignton (great outdoor and indoor golf there) for a day at each, and we went Go Karting in Churston, and to Kent Caverns.

Bizarrely the thing that went down the best with the kids was cheap and cheerful crab fishing done in both Brixham Harbour and Stoke Gabriel.

What I didnt get to do, which was recommended by a local (but on my last day) was to get a ferry over to Dartmouth, as Dartmouth is supposed to be amazing.

Not very MSE but also look out for the 99p shop in Paignton. It's huge and I was obsessed and spent a fortune... :rotfl:.

I hope you have a fantastic time. I love Devon and although it's a bit of a drive from Manchester it's always worth it as we love every single minute of it. :D

Thanks BBThree. Took a boat trip to Brixam once years ago. Expect the 99p shop was where Woolworths used to be - will look out for it. Still 6 weeks to go. Its an even longer drive from Scotland!
