Hi,

Like many others i am new to regular comping - i did the odd raffle in the past but thought i would make a bit of a hobby of it. ive been doing it seriously for about 2 weeks.

To those that have been doing it for some time i have 3 simple questions if you dont mind. The answers will be interesting to know and hopefully motivating.

1) How many competitions on average do you enter a week?

2) Once you started doing it regularly how long was it until you won a reasonable prize? (ie not a pen or a packet of crisps etc)

3) roughly how often do you win something? (monthly/weekly etc)

1. I enter too many to count a week!

2. First of all don't think of them as 'reasonable' prizes! Every prizes. My first 'big' win was within a month of comping!

3.It comes in phases I find I tend to get nothing for a while and then a few things at once.
But don't go into it expecting to win anything!

Hundreds, two years approx, once every Preston guild lol. Mind you, if I was in a marching band, I,d be the one with the piano!
