at the moment I'm just thinking about threads with a daily entry, posted on the main board with an end date, however people come across them in the first place I was wondering how people then get back to them every day for their daily entry
I save them in IE favourites, that is daily entry for a daily prize, and link direct to the comp site so I can still enter them when MSE is down.
(I think daily/weekly etc should relate to the prize frequency not how often you can enter them otherwise why shouldn't there be threads titled unlimited, 3 entries 5 entries etc. Daily entry for a weekly prize is weekly?)0 -

Good idea, That's what I do but to the MSE thread, hadn't thought of doing that straight to the comp page. Can you edit the title to show the end date of the comp? I presume that wouldn't be a problem.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

You can save them however you like, I only have a few daily prize ones so end date does not matter.
I used to link to the mse page but changed when the site was down one day, direct link also saves a bit of time.
I have started to add a few monthlys now, if there is a question to answer I link to the mse thread otherwise direct.0 -
Excellent, thanks for that, I'll start doing that too.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

Nay, Nay and thrice Nay. The important thing is entering comps, not how often they are drawn. 'Daily' means entering daily.0 -

To you, not to me.
If it is based on frequency of entry then there should be threads for all entry combinations such as unlimited entries, 5 entries, 3 entries, one time only etc. There are some on dailies which allow 10 entries over the course of a comp which runs more than 10 days so they are no more daily entry than a comp which only allows one entry.
One entry in a pool of entries where everyone can enter once is fine, but for example, if everyone can make 30 entries the odds of winning are a bit better than a single entry comp but you spend 30 times longer on it.
My time, which is limited, is much better spent entering several one time only entry comps than it would be entering multiple times for one comp (unless it is a really big one which the dailies tend not to be)
It is not a big deal to me either way as it only takes one visit to eliminate those which are of no interest.0 -
The forum search seems to be updated with recent posts for me now.
