Thanks, i know 9 bags! but it was reduced from £4 to 80p and we did have room in the freezer. That to go with the sausage, chicken, burger and cooked ham/chicken mountain we need to get through He is very good at finding reductions but has now started to haggle at the deli-counter when he sees reductions to the point the staff now tell him/ask him what he can take!!!! But we eat very well for pennies! The only problem is being a man he thinks I never need to go shopping as the freezer is full, he forgets it takes more than meat to make a meal!!

:rotfl::rotfl:Well it is the one thing he is good at! Although I like a bargain and it was me who used to fetch them he has got the bug. I would never haggle to have it reduced further! He can sniff a bargain anywhere, so I have trained him well!! althought every sunday we have him saying he is not buying anthing else until the freezer is half empty..and Monday he is off again. But we have saved loads of money whic has ment we have overpaid our mortgaged!!!

£4 to 80p for 400g. I don't think the tartan bits of my DNA would've let me walk away from a bargain like that.
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)

You should hire him out as a bargain hunting snuffle pig type person.
That was a huge bargain & mince is so versatile.
I like minced beef roly poly, suet pastry rolled out & cooked mince spread over it rolled up & baked.

made some mince for dinner, put all the right things in but it tastes quite sweet, any suggestions what i could put in to make it more of a savoury taste? it's def edible but just thought i would ask.

if you wanted to know what it's got in it.

    olive oil
    lamb mince,
    onions
    carrots
    peas
    garlic
    tom puree
    water
    oxo cube
    umami
    thyme
part of a bolognaise sauce mix
    pepper
    Worcestershire sauce
    and a touch of flour
Opinion on everything, knowledge of nothing.
