Hi Skint - wow sounds like you have had a very positive day despite feeling crap, woohoo!
Thanks Jo, I just felt like I needed to kickstart myself and if it has helped you too then that is fantastic!!
I hadn't thought of it like that Elly, I like your reasoning!

dont know about positive, Nixi but had depression/stress few years ago and exercise was definitely the way out of it, just dont want to go there again so know i need to give myself a shake, think thats why i'm piggin out as well! but dont know what i'm down about! my word for tomorrow will be "positive" - that way i may just get some cleaning done after i've doped myself up!
how are things coming along with youskintbint x

Hey Skint, Not to bad to be honest, as long as I stop myself procrastinating! I have loads of ideas but not enough time, and I am very good at wasting the time I do have!! That can get me down but if I manage to keep myself out of that mindset I am ok. In the next few minutes I have a lady coming to talk to me about doing Avon. Really regretting it now as I already have a big shortage of time, seemed like a good idea at the time, but thinking it is now another waste of time even having the meeting.....we will see!! I am thinking I need to start some kind of exercise, to focus me as much as exercise if that makes any sense, so really interesting hearing how it helped you!!
How are the cakes coming along? Did you ever find sort out a way of posting them? I saw someone on titter the other day giving a prize of a sponge cake, so someone has obviously sussed it, or someone ended up with a big squidgy mess lol!
Oh and the Avon lady is bringing her 20month old baby ... and here I am enjoying my time without my children.... ;}

hi nixi - havent had time to think bout posting cakes! really busy next week then it tails off a bit (or so i think then somebody asks at the last minute) Not sure about teh Avon - does it not take up an awful lot of time - delivering leaflets, collecting orders, sorting orders and then delivering - think there is a thread on it somewhere. was at a christmas fair last week and there was an Avon table but not sure how well it did. would be okay if you are allocated a patch near to you as i think you are given an area rather than just deciding where you want. i used to do ann summers and found it an awful scutter but that's probably down to me being disorganised! Really think the excercise gives you more energy(eventually) and then that would be more energy to procrastinate. hope the Avon Lady's little 'un is well behaved or better still sleeping! let us know how you get on.

Hi! Well I am now an Avon lady lol! I really liked the lady that came out, seemed honest and trustworthy! She told me she has only eveer done the bare minimum because her family life is more important to here but that after about 18months and having her own team she now earns over £400 every 3 weeks, and that her boss earnt over £4k in the last campaign including bonuses!! So not sure how I will be with it but can see it def. has potential if you can build up your own team - and it had the advantage of being (for a sales job) a regular income of sorts - which is more than the PR can be at the moment. So I am going to give it a go - absolute worse case scenario is that I hate it and it costs me £15 for trying!
The little girl was fine - but glad they left when she did as her nappy was ful , bleurggggh!
I found the Avon thread Skint - all seems gobbledigook at the mo lol!

DING DONG AVON CALLING:give it a go Nixi - nothing to loose especially at this time of year, how soon do you get your books? Do you have friends that work in shops/offices, are you with any clubs, do you live near any nursing homes that you can target? get your books in there as soon as you get them. Christmas Fair stall? wish i'd paid a bit more attention to see how busy they were but i was too busy - just shout if you need any ideas, am sure we can come up with some, Cheese & Wine launch at yours for Christmas

My MiL has said she will host a party for me - and hopefully lots of her work colleagues will come just to be nosey at her (self build) house!! Think the hardest part is getting my head around the 3 week campaigns .... latest campaign started on Monday so already a week into it....... eeek!

Hi everyone
BIG LOVE & HUGS TO YOU ALL - i'm glad to see the dribble continues! Insofar as the 'main' 10k challenge is concerned, i'm no further forward than I was in March lol - less so in fact as I spent a load on a little boat (which i used 3 times, hmmm). So glad to see you're all continuing with the dribble and your own personal challenges. It's amazing how far you've all come over the last year - some in successful ways, some unconventional (or is that just me?!), some spiritual etc...
I've had a real lull over the last 3 or 4 months or so but i'm feeling a lot better now. I wondered whether the lull was due to the lack of dribbling on my behalf or whether this was a coincidence. At times i've really struggled to see any positives at all (I should get back into the hurrah/hooraying) ANYWAY! My word is RESILIENCE. Thanks Nixi - a great mini challenge x
(I can't however leave without saying one more word... Wagner!) lolJust £10,852.28p to go...
Trust that little voice in your head that says "Wouldn't it be interesting if...";
And then do it.0 -
Lol @ wagner Em!
Great to see you here.
Love the word RESILIENCE and hope you can continue finding some positives.
Reading a book at the moment that says we often look at things very close up in terms of change and making progress in all areas etc.
ie we can start trying to do something and feel we are getting nowhere. he equates this to looking at the frame level of a movie. IF you take a frame at a time each one looks very similar to the one before and the one just after and it can feel like there is very little change happening but if you pan out and take a wider look over a bigger timescale then there is much change and movement. so even if things feel static and stuck just making the slightest change/ movement each day or each week etc will over time lead to change even if it feels like nothing is happening.

Yay Nixi you did it. Would imagine its a good time of year to start.
Its the sort of thing that I think you have to try to know how you'll get on with it. I did barefoot books and although I love them I just didn't click with it from a personality point of view and would not do any more of these things.
But for a lot of people they do click and its great. With such a low intial layout its a great way of trying it out. I hope it clicks for you. There is no reason why it shouldn't. could certainly help out in time for christmas. A RESOURCEFUL use of £15 I would imagine!!
