My two eat dried fruit as sweets... probably not all that good for their teeth but better than sweets!! I thought picking up cheap fruit and making leathers might be a good idea.... 'sun' dried toms, dried mushrooms,

Have a look on here for ideas....

Oh Elly, that's brilliant news!! :):):) and hope she has a great birthday, what a great present. Hope it takes some of the stress off you too xx xx

Jo, was the volcanic lava imaginary or an actual substance? You sound really happy :) I too have a juicer gathering dust in the cupboard - maybe I should Ebay it, they seem to be popular these days :p
Mambury, the fruit dryer sounds great, I'd be rubbish at using one though so will stick to value raisins lol!
My sister is two days overdue her first baby so we're waiting eagerly for a phone call. Someone has ordered a Las Vegas themed wedding cake topper for me and I might have to make an Elvis! Exciting stuff :) xx xx
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

    lol Paula it was imaginary!
all sounds quite exciting with you.
does anyone remember the scheme where you could get a free tree ages ago. I ordered a Rowan I think and it said would be delivered in Autumn. mines just arrived in a mailing tube and poor thing is probably dead :-(
the tube was full of brown dry leaves and a few little tiny branches that had obviously come off. no branches or leaves left on it now. its probably about 25 cm tall including its root ball which takes up about 10 cms. haven't unwrapped its root ball from its hessian sack but guess its probably dried out if leaves are all so dry and brown.
I don't want to complain but I do want to leave feedback but can't remember which organisation was doing it. whoops.

Oh, that's sad :( I ordered one but it went to the friend who dumped me as she had the garden...hmm. I'm guessing they had a lot of orders, maybe they were overambitious? But I seem to remember it was government-led or similar...if I remember I'll get back to you. I thought your kids might have had the shaving foam out or something! lol xx xx
