At our local co-op they have a set of four lock and lock style containers, ranging from large big enough for a loaf of bread, to a lasagne portion size for £4.99 which I thought was pretty good value.

I know the fruit jars - in fact have a couple in my cupboard! They are very handy containers, nice wide neck.

it's really nice fruit as well. so thanks for mentioning it's on offer, what the expiry dates like?
I've got caught on on some BOGOF wish short dates.

however I couldn't get the smell out if the tubs, so would only use for compatible foods.

there are some lock&lock-alikes around, but not sure if they're any good.

morrisons at the mo have some storage pots which look like the lock and lock on bogof at the mo i think the dearest one is 2.49 and considering ur get 2 for that price not bad. i was gonna buy some but only had 1 in the size i wnted.

I ordered the TSV last night, just hope I've done the right thing. I'm fed up of buying containers or reusing food ones and they just don't last, one or two goes in the dishwasher and they are no good and of course there are a lot you can't put in the microwave. I like the fact lock & lock are totally watertight as well. I thought the price was good - about £31 but that includes postage and there are (I think) 22 in the set.

I was going to start a thread about this subject today.

I am actually wondering about flour bins as I have my new panasonic BM and I need to store plenty of flour. I remember years ago that flour bins used to be very large but you can't seem to find them that big anymore.

Wouldn't mind getting hold of the old style ones if anyone knows of where they can be bought?

I got 3 basket cd holders from tesco today. They are being promoted at £2.87 each and they all fit neatly into my bedside drawer. Now this drawer is a disgrace as it is fill of all sorts from nail files to indigestion pills to handcreams to bunion straighteners. You get the picture!!

Now I have three tall good spaces to sort my items into

I`m going to get some more for other drawers but I`ll do a test run first as the boxes are fairly tall

I think I`ll spend the rest of this grey january, sorting storage. It is satisfying

I have just got a set of 3 large storage boxes from Argos, and storage/decluttering is the perfect antidote to spending.
