What's the best contract for Blackberry Curve?
Comments
-
u can get curves 4 £15 or maybe even less now, with like 600 mins.
the rest just sounds like junk to make the deal 'look good'. whats vodas internet cap?! any less than 1GB P/M defo makes this deal cack!
id say its a rip off @ that cost. the fone is only worth £200 brand new. take a look @ e2save cpw, mobiles.co.uk and dialaphone for decent cheap deals.0 -
Which Blackberry was it?
They are economical with data so the limit isn't really an issue (that combined with a pretty poor browser), the phones and dongle are only of value if he can use them, and a tenner's a tenner.
Doesn't sound like the worst deal0 -
Thanks for the replies, it was the B8520, he has been on 500 minutes and unlimted texts for ages but I think he needs at least 750 as I said he goes over without fail every month.
I just think he may of been better going for an iphone for a £35 a month contract and cannot understand why he wanted a Blackberry, but it is his life I guess.Real men never follow instructions; after all they are just the manufacturer's opinion on how to put something together.

better he got the latest bold for that price. the curve is a low end blackberry, hence the cheap price. sounds like they just talking him into a more expensive deal. CPW tried that when i went to upgrade, so i left.
thatsean - they may be more economical but if vodas cap is 200/500mb and the OP's son will be a heavy social network user, he will eventually go over the 'limit'. not to mention other things like streaming, e.t.c... thats y u need to find a min 1 GIG deal, excluding O2 of course

Yeah, unfortunately I think they saw him coming, still he will live and learn I guess and can always console himself in the fact he is saving around 20 quid a month on going over his call limit. Now to just make sure he leaves the money in for his bill every month for the next 2 years . I did tell him to put the cashback straight in his account to cover his first month (more or less), so just 23 to go.Real men never follow instructions; after all they are just the manufacturer's opinion on how to put something together.

Chuckley - I don't agree. As a BB user myself I can testify to how appalling the browser is, so he won't be surfing much. And no flash support cuts down on the streaming (that and the fact that the 8520 is 2.5G only), if he manages to find the time to download a gig of data he's doing a bloody good job! Agree that as BBs are always online the integrated apps are shuffling data about - still he's got 2 yrs to find out i guess!0 -
thats true thatssean, the internal browser is cack. i think i dl'd opera to get a better browser experience. i found the apps did use up LOADS of data, in particular ubertwitter!! but its bin months since ive used the 8520 and i think all the updates have moved on since then. maybe more resourceful as u say.0

Hi. I am getting an upgrade and want to stick to Blackberry but can't choose between the curve 3g and storm 2. Any idea which is best? The curve is cheaper but the storm looks cool!!:oI like my money right where I can see it - hanging in my closet.;)0
-
I tried the Storm but didn't like it, so went from Curve 8900 to Bold 9700. I'm waiting for the Torch 9800 which is touchscreen and also QWERTY keypad along the lines of the Palm Pre http://www.play.com/Mobiles/Mobile/4-/16057182/BlackBerry-Torch-9800-Sim-Free-Unlocked-Touch-Screen-Mobile-Phone/Product.html
Not sure when it will be released to the networks or even which ones. I buy my phones and have a rolling monthly contract. I find it easier than been tied to a 18/24 month contract.0 -
vodafone and orange have announced it, rumour has it, O2 are testing it0
