Yes Loans can still take money off your card if you authorised it, so that means if you said so on the phone that they could take thier fee then unfortunately cancelling the card isn't going to help.

If however you said "er no, you can't take £xx.xx fee from my card" when they asked, or they didn't mention they were going to take a fee at all then it's fraud and ringing or speaking to your bank immediately to get your card replaced is the best thing to do.

Getting a new card through the post might happen by 19th but it's cutting it fine. You can still withdraw over the counter even without a card.

With regard to the rest of your debt to payday loans companies you would be well advised to write to them, explain that you can not afford to pay them all back, ask them to freeze the interest and make them all a monthly repayment offer you can afford. In short this is a self-administered DMP (debt management plan). For more information about that you could try contacting CCCS, National Debtline, the CAB or Christians Against Poverty.
I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)

As of the last count I have cleared
    [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt. :(

Yeah that's gone. It's the payday loans im worried about.

I'm applying for the co op card now..

Does it matter if you give them your other bank account details.. they won't transfer anything will they?

I.e - the debt? Haha I'm on the page now where they ask for your existing main account details..

As far as I can tell DGJ the OP said in the quote above that Yes Loans took money from his account without his permission.

That fee is part of their t&c`s so his permission was granted by him applying with them...

I will sort the yesloans thing out after this is all sorted, whatever happens.. they owe me at least £70.

But at the minute, i need a quick solution to this problem.

I have just applied for the co op bank account and they said they will contact me within 5 working days,, i don't think that's quick enough as i get paid a week today...

    Hmmmmmm

I really need a quick way out :(
