    I agree with Wrinkles, get a new bank account that is not linked to the bank you're with now. As Wrinkles said get a basic account with the co op bank. When you have opened that, close your old one and set up a SO to pay the loans back. Write to them (always write) and let them know that you will be paying them back at x (what you can afford) amount per month. But you must close your old account, as they all have your card number and as soon as your wages go in, they will take what they want out, and probably leave you with nowt!!:mad: Don't forget to let work know your new account number! I don't know how long it takes to get a new card through, but an account number you should get straight away.

    If the payday loan companies have access to his account as the poster has implied , they will empty his account , or have i got the wrong end of the stick .

    Lol , not sure mate , if they have a DD set up , then cancel it , if they have card details ,cancel card..then negotiate.....job done!

    I read somewhere on here that they can still get money off the card even if it's cancelled????

    really ? news to me mate........, how do they manage that then as all the details would be null and void on the cancelled card...?

    There have been instances where people have done this and bank still pay the dd , better safe than sorry .

    Why do you coth say co op? :P Whats so good about it? Can you do it online? Links people? :D

    Yes you can do it online Google co op bank it will come up , co op will give anyone a basic bank account even a bankrupt , unless you have been involved in fraud .
