Hi chocaholic, sorry you had such a scary time the last few days. I was constantly popping on to check if you had updated yet, im so relieved everything worked out ok in the end. You must be really tired and busy. Hope you are managing to enjoy your new addition as well as getting some well deserved rest.

  • I think I've finally managed to catch up on e-mails and financial things, if not on people's diaries - might just have to accept that things have happened that I'll have to stay completely oblivious of and start to read diaries again from now.

Tom is being a little star! More or less just sleeping and eating. Doesn't slepp so well in his moses basket through the night, I think because it feels cold to him after he's been out for a feed, but he will sleep all day in there and will sleep in someone's arms in the night(!). Midwife has advised to put a hot water bottle in the moses basket when we take him out to hold the heat in. OH and I are wondering if he is only going to be sleepy until he reaches his due date, the we might not know what's hit us!

Finally got the house insurance done - £214 altogether for buildings and contents. I'm quite happy with that as I'm sure it's less than last year. Must look up what that was.

£10 has gone into my account for registering my A+L account for mobile banking. Have transferred that and the 29p interest (woo hoo!) I received into my savings account.

Also got cheques for £20 from Mutual Points and £22.25 from Home of Research so will pay them into Christmas challenge account next week. I've already added them to my signature.

Glad you're getting a bit more settled (even if Tom isn't!). My DS absolutely refused point blank to sleep in the moses basket at night when he was born, although I never tried it through the day as he slept in his pram/carry-cot downstairs. We ended up taking the carry cot upstairs at night, which he was fine with. They're bizarre little creatures, aren't they?!

Glad it's all going well hon :)

Looking forward to a pic - but no pressure! I remember all too well that I didn't even get dressed for weeks after the kids :)

Photos are my job for tomorrow. I need to download the photos on the camera and order some prints off some photo website (hopefully I can join one that offers free prints or suchlike!) so once downloaded I will post one or two on here as well.

It should be fine. I got cashback for car, contents and buildings insurance last year without any problems. This year though it was cheaper to go with the best quote so no cashback but a lot less to pay in the first place.
