    ahh RM tracked
    a no signature service
    should be delivered as addressed
donht happen to live in a tenement stair do you?

No. I live in a normal house with front door and post box.

So I assume the postie just ticks the box as delivered when he does it then?

no offence to 99.99% of posties who are honest, but whats stopping the postie putting the tickets in his pocket and flogging them on ebay?

well you final point stands for every single item a postie handles

however, tracked items are scanned en route from dispatch to delivery
the delivery postie would have signed for receipt of all their tracked items
they should be delivered with staff with a PDA
so on delivery the tracked item is scanned as delivered at the door
with something like an envelope then its going to fit and be delivered
larger items are scanned as delivered/undelivered and the reason for this
theres little i can offer in the way of help
confirm the company sent to the correct address (you would be surprised how often they dont)
if they did then go to the delivery office and ask for a manger
they can(should!) go back anbd check who was on the duty that day.they may even recall the item

    Thanks for the explanation.

I wont speculate on whats happened to it but through my door it did not come. :-)

I've finally managed to talk ticketline into speaking to royal mail to try and get this investigated.

I cant see how ticketline can take this as proof of delivery though. Surely if I aint signed for it then I aint definitely got it?

    RM deliver to addresses
so it doesnt matter who signs for it
so a signature wouldnt change anything in this case
the whole point of tracked is the sender gets proof of delivery fitting in with their contracted stipulations
eg if it can be left 'safe' etc
