I am due to be getting a new BMW 116i Sport - and it will only be £229 per month. It's just a case of looking around.Gordon_Hose wrote: »Because I don't buy new cars. So looking at the 1 Series BMW 116d, it was £303 per month (£3636 a year). That is more than any used car would cost me to run in a year.
As I said, I don't buy new cars, so depreciation isn't so much of a killer for me.0 -

It's a deposit of £2550 - which didn't bother me too much, was better than the £3500 that I saw with some others. And also high monthly costs of sometimes £300 plus that I saw on other sites.
And my agreement is for £229 per month for 35 months.0 -
Freedom Contracts have the same Passat for £199 +VAT on a 6+23 deal, so slightly cheaper.
Contract Hire deals are generally a lot cheaper nearer Christmas.....0 -

My package is through a personal hire thing (BMW Select Finance) but I believe they do a business option so it could be worth checking out?0

I am looking at a buying a new GOLF 2.0 TDI GT, 5-door Diesel, manual transmission.
The VW Standards deal works out at about £340 pm over 36 months with a £2,000 deposit. This shows as 7.9%APR. I'm planning to use the car for 3 years and then change it for whatever takes my fancy at that time.
I've used contract hire as a busniess user before, but this will be the first time on a personal deal.
Does this sound a decent deal? Does anyone have a good site to use to check for the best deals?
Thanks in advance for your help.0 -
In my opinion I'd say it is. 7.9% is better than some bank loans you will get at the moment.0

Does anyone know if there's a beginners guide to lease hire cars.
I was going to sign up through my scheme at work and was looking for an A3. The most basic of these start at a cost to me of around £300 pcm. However, their 'lead time' in delivering these cars is 4 months! Therefore, I am now looking at lease hire as an alternative and seeing this post indicates I can probably do better than this for price.
many thanks0
