    Afternoon all.

    Happy Birthday Elona.:bdaycake:

Jackieg  that sounds nasty - are you sure you're OK?

Csarina I hope your DH is having a better day. From experience, every time the medical bods tinker with meds, things seem to get worse for a while, so hopefully he'll settle down with less dizzies soon.

Wet here today, so Penny's having her walks when we get a break in the showers. She's quite happy to curl up on the sofa for most of the day though - thank goodness I was able to get a throw to put over it for dog-sitting, as she's moulting, and leaving white hairs all over the place. My black cord jacket is covered!:D

We took her to the pub last night, and she was ever so well behaved, and sat on my lap in the car (Mr LW was driving, I hasten to add!)

OS wise - pizza dough has been made for tonight's dins, I just have to construct the pizza later on; I dare say it'll be my usual: cheese, onion, tomatoes, Quorn strips cut in pieces, a little fresh basil (from the windowsill), sunflower seeds, and pineapple chunks - I get pineapples from the F&V market when they have them at a reasonable price, and Mr LW cuts them up for the freezer.

There's a 'nana needing to be used up, so we'll have that with a little HM strawberry jam by way of pud - we haven't got any cream to be able to do proper banana split, and tbh our waistlines don't need cream, either!;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Hi everyone,

Thanks for the congrats for DS. Happy birthday Elona. Csarina, sorry to hear about your problems I hope things get better soon.

I was at the hospital this morning, just for a check up and everythings fine btu I was very pleased because I have lost 6kg since I went in Febuary, which is more than I thought. I thought that I'd lost about 9lbs but in fact it's over 13.

Tonight I need to make some cakes for a charity coffee morning tomorrow - I'll do a couple of traybakes. We'll be going out for most of the rest of the weekend because sis in law is staying. If its fine we'll go to Norfolk and walk a bit of the coast, if not we'll go to a National Trust property.

    Have a good weekend everyone.

    Afternoon all

I feel like poo :( a bit cold-like and have a horrendous tension headache which won't shift.

Good day at work though, kids last day, went out for lunch (their choice), then skived off early at half 3 ;).

No OS here as I'm not in the mood. Hopefully have something edible in freezer to have for tea.

    elona - happy birthday!
jackieg - ouch! hope you are ok
Lindyloo - I'm the same with home bargains!! Always come out with something I never needed.

    have a good evening all

I am fine, just a bit embarrassed. Fed up falling down the stairs. OH says he is getting me a stairlift. Bloody comedian. I haven't broken my toe, just staved it, so it's strapped up and no more damage to my back than before, it's just reignited the pain a bit. I will be drifting into a haze of painkiller induced relaxation shortly, if I come back later and gibber rubbish, just sit me in the corner with a cup of coffee! :rotfl:

JackieG:eek: at falling again.Hope you're not too sore.
Flutterby- hope you feel better soon.

Got my shopping out of the way this morning,Mr S and Lidl-stocked upa bit on bread flour in case it rockets in price.Have mainly been making inroads into the chest freezer to conserve our cash, but needed some fresh stuff. Also DH was able to pick me up,which is another reason for getting the flour.I went to the library first, and got Ministry of Food by Jane F-W,so look forward to having a read of that later. Also popped into the EAs as someone has pinched our board, she said its been happening a lot round here.

Just had pork chops done in the Remoska-3 big ones from S Basics.DS1 went away for a few days this aft-he doesn't like them,so I spied the opportunity for us to have them, cos we do.Sprinkled them with some oil,and a French Spice mix I got last week from Aldi,v tasty.

DS2 is getting ready to go out on the town, one of his friends(a girl) has a birthday so they're all out to celebrate-he'll not be back until the early hours ,if at all.He often kips down at a mates to save on taxis as we're a bit out of the way since our last move.

The kitchen has been tidied up after our tea,so I'm off to put my feet up now.Hope you have a good evening.x

and Jackie G - OUCH, you poor sausage

My hospital appointment was awful (I had urodynamics - bascially tubes and stuff stuck up you bum and wee hole and then fluid pumped in and out!). It was horrendously painful, I ended up just crying out in agony and squeezing the life out of my Mum's hand. I have to say the nurses were absolutely brilliant and so caring. Am very sore now and feeling very sorry for myself. I hope they get to the bottom (pardon the pun) or why I get such terrible bladder pain.

No OS going on today. OH is treating us to a Chinese take away courtesy of his Mum who gave us some money to treat ourselves bless her.
Hugs to all the other poorlies xxxxxxxxxx
Hmmm will add up debt and stick on on later!
  • JackieGlasgow and Jellybaby - take care tonight you've both had awful days.

Not so good on here today. JackieG hope the fall doesn't cause you too much pain.
Jellybaby, that sounds horrid, enjoy your treat and Lindy-Loo chin up and enjoy the chocolate.

Went for my appointment at the bank and they say they have no record of me making an appointment! Bl**dy banks, they gave me the time and date in the first place! Anyway went to Glasgow with DD for lunch and a potter around and had quite a good time (I usually hate the shops). We had a meal outside, the weather was great and there were loads of street performers which made for a good atmosphere. DD had a scaffold in her ear (ouch!) and I got a dress/top for a fiver!

Came home and DS2 cooked the tea, three loads of bedding dried on the line and I am now a happy bunny.

Have a good weekend all. XX

Well, as I have become a 'festival widow' (like a footy widow, which I will soon also be, but for a music fest instead) I am going to go shopping tomorrow. It's the first time I've been in ages and I do actually need to try and get a few things so I don't feel too bad about it at all, as I should if I was just going and buying carp I didn't need for the sake of it. Must remember to take the vouchers I've got too. Also while I'm there I plan to visit the "Cheap Toiletry Shop" for a couple of bits and bobs and the pound shop to stock up on acres of cheap branded chocolate. Shall let you know how it went tomorrow evening :D

    Have a good weekend everyone.
