Good Morning Everyone
:j:beer:Many Happy Returns Elona:beer::j Have a lovely day.
Rather cool here today too - come back Summer!
Have been up a while & working in the office. Got serious amounts of filing done & have a massive shredding pile to do in a minute. Have more to do but am very pleased with my progress so far :T
DS is away with inlaws so is very quiet here. DD not up yep, am off to see Step Up 3D with her at lunchtime but will make sure we eat before we go so not tempted to spend too much on snacks. Will smuggle drinks in our bags.
Other than that I will be filing & ironing - what joy :rotfl:
Chilli for tea tonight.
Have a great day.x
Oh & many thanks for the good luck vibes, I had my telephone interview yesterday - think it went ok hopefully will find out in a couple of days.0 -

If I had seen the date I would not have got out of bed!! OH has not had his tablets yet and is back in bed with a dizzy less than a hour after he got up......it looks like we are going the way we went 2 years ago and I know I am not going to be able to cope. Very depressed this morning........
Load of laundry in, hope it stays fine long enoough to dry it, although looking at the sky I doubt it, grey clouds appearing on the horizan.
Have to go up to the village to get m,y meducation, will have a word with the pharmasist whilst I am there. Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Hi all, hugs to those who need. It is sunny here today for a change. Got a few bits to do before I go back through to Edinburgh in the afternoon for a play. Going to post the bits I sold on ebay, go to the charity shop with a bag of stuff and list a few more bits as well as doing my dishes and a load of washing.
House is looking tidy and organised, just a bit more under bed clearing to go and it will be all decluttered too!

Thanks for another new thread, Hardup Hester. Is 'the maiden' a clothes horse? I've never heard it called that before.
Hope you get your sewing finished, beemuzed, and that DS is successfully discharged today.
Fingers crossed, Essex-girl!
Really sorry to hear about OH, csarina. Do you know what's wrong with him?
It's a beautiful day here - blue skies and little fluffy clouds. I have a migraine and my mood's really low for some reason. But at least it's pay-day (or, more accurately, pension day!) I've done the minimum of morning chores and am planning to spend most of the day knitting as a really do feel rough with this headache. Am trying to stay out of bed though as going back under the covers will make my mood worse even if it would help the pain! Ah well - tomorrow's another day

Hi Laura
Yes maiden in another name for a clothes horse, don't know why or where it comes from.
Teatowels have been boiled & rinsed & are now on the line, I decided to risk it, it's very blowy, so I'm hopeful they'll dry.
Hubby's on holiday next week & his cover hasn't turned up for training so he's a bit streesed.

Morning all and a Happy Birthday to elona
Still trying to play catch up in the garden atm everything went mad while we were in hospital
I have never had such HUGE pattypans before..I've been blanching them for 5 mins slicing in half, scoop out the seeds then add chopped chorizo, sage and onion stuffing mix and a chopped pepper to the pulp.
Wrap them in foil then bake for an hour in the oven...mine are the size of my head nearly lol so they need that long but if smaller just stab with a knife to check when done
I'm not looking at the blackberries..I'm really not..
Plan to make some sausage rolls later and have been begged for choccie doughnuts by DS2
Hope all are well

Thanks for the good wishes everybody.
DD(24) phoned in her morning break at work to say happy birthday. She starts a new job in september and is looking for a flatshare or something nearer to her new job so looks as if she will not be popping home for weekend.
DD(21) has offered to take me out to Monks cross for a mooch around the shops and to treat me to lunch. It is great to have a DD who can drive as it means I don't have to keep asking DH.
I can drive but have not done this for 20 years and don't feel happy about trying to get back to it.
DH's pressie to me is agreeing to some new furniture for the house ( will be ordering it once we get completion etc in we hope less than 2 weeks.)
Have looked at "pulleys" and amazon sell them as "Sheila Maids" in a variety of lengths and either four or six rungs. The house we have "borrowed" has a huge pulley in the kitchen and it is great for the miserable weather we have just now. DH is now as keen as I am to get one for the new house if it will fit etc.
Not much old style going on- might buy chilled curry or chinese meals for tonight as a treat or else make veg spag bol myself with quorn mince.
Hoping to drive to Whitby for the day tomorrow and have a family picnic as an extra birthday treat. Have not been there since I was ill in November and would love to revisit it.
Hugs to everyone and see you later."This site is addictive!"

Went to sainsburys to change the copper jar this morning as didnt get a chance before we went away. had £23.48 which was a bonus!
bought some tiger bread as a treat and just had with lunch. Then went into the large home bargain (an out of town one) and spent on things we didnt need, theres a reason I'm not allowed in there! On a better note, got lots of fruit and veg in aldi which was next door, forgotten how cheap it could be.Mum, wife and dinnerlady!0 -
Hello All!
Happy Birthday Elona, good for you, getting dolled up, your birthday should be the day for getting to feel special!
Well, I've only gone and fallen down the stairs this morning.
The inside stairs this time though. God knows what is going on with me, I've hurt my back and think I have broken my middle toe which battered off the stairgate as I landed. Silly cow. Still, it got that lot out of their beds :rotfl:
The sun is shining here although there is a lot of big puffy cloud around that look quite heavy. Today's plan is to feed my garden and order my plants for winter. I have some money in my commission account left which I will be squandering on pansies and so on, and I need to plan where the bulbs are going. Then I am sorting out my stuff to go Carbooting tomorrow with my lovely sister. Busy afternoon in store then, and DH will take DS1 for his schoolbag, which we have somehow forgotten to get.
Csarina I hope DH is OK and you too. XXX
Have lovely days everyone!
