I suppose you can go to 'various places' on the same island.

Be a little careful if you transit through KL. There are two hubs, sharing the same runway - KLIA and KLCC. KLIA is the international hub, KLCC is the low cost carrier hub used by the likes of AirAsia. The two hubs are about 10 miles apart. Not really a problem, but a bit of a trek - particularly if you have small children. A bus runs regularly between the two, 10MYR (£2 or so)? Takes 1/2h. KL is a great place to visit btw. Enforced stay in April..... ash cloud!
Dont worry about Bangkok. Big but quite pleasant. AirAsia again fly to most of the tourist islands. Were off to Railay (Krabi) in Oct - via Bangkok.
Oh - Emirates from Manchester via Dubai. 2 x 8h flights with a 3h gap. Nice'n'easy. Allow a bit more time for transfer at BKK.0 -

It's KLIA & LCCT.
The bus is RM1.5(30 pence). Takes 15 to 20 minutes.
Air Asia only flies to one island in Thailand.0 -

KLCC is the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (http://www.kuala-lumpur.ws/klareas/klcc.htm). LCCT is budget airline terminal (low cost carrier terminal)
It seems like everything in KL has acronyms!0 -
I don't need the link. I know those are just places on the same island, Koh Larn.0 -

That's alright donnie, you just walk on by,  and those that do want help / or to look at the web site can click the link!!
and make their own minds up, some people have never been before, and are clearly not as lucky as you, (or me) for that matter as clearly you have been able to visit many times, like I have, and have my own houses out there.
(and before you come back at me and tell me frang cannot own houses out there, yes they can (before the law changed), now you can only own a condo out there, you can only own a house if you have a company out there now.)Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles
