Hello and thank you for all your replies.
Just to update you, i had to pop out this morning and when i came home hubby was upstairs HOOVERING his clothes. He wasnt too pleased (to say the least) he said it had taken bloody ages!!!!!!!

A clothes brush ! Nice and old-fashioned, or failing that wrap sellotape sticky-side-out round your hand and dab at the tissue bits.0

sometimes helps if you have a tumble drier - put the things in it for about 15-20 mins on warm cycle - lifts fluff off sometimes and has worked for me with tissues.
Thumbs up for sellotape idea as well

Definitely agree with jmcateer- give the clothes a good shake then pop them in the tumble drier.0
