in Water bills
I live in an upstairs flat, have internal plumbing & drainage cover with Homeserve. Blocked kitchen drain, phoned homeserve who sent 2 cowboys over who put acid down my drain (you've never smelt anything like it) and when that didn't work they tried a compressed air gun - (having said already on the kind of pipes I have it would just pull them apart at the joints) which popped the pipe off spraying a mixture of acid and water all over the inside of the cupboard and floor. They left, saying they couldn't do anymore until I had all my kitchen unit in that corner and worktop dismantled. 5 mins later and bang! my power goes off - the water has got in my plug socket in the top of the cupboard where d/washer plugged in. Removed kickplate under cupboard to find water/acid mix has leaked all over floor and drained into neighbour's ceiling below.
So.... called other plumbers out today, fixed and done in just over an hour (£182) with kitchen in situ. However, dishwasher has not survived - (fuse changed, tried alternative socket that works).
knackered sockets, knackered dishwasher, £182 invoice, and leak into neighbours ceiling yet to repair.
How should I proceed? What are my chances of having this lot made good?:(

One of these would have been cheaper:

And please cancel Homeserve-loads of other posts regarding these guys. A complete waste of money having this cover anyway-even if they don't trash your kitchen. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
