  • Posted my last ebay parcel today(they only paid yesterday) under-sold the postage though:mad: but overall the postage of all my items came in at about what I charged on so that's ok. Will aim to list some more this weekend.

I have to collect dd later and won't be home til around 8-8.30, but when I get home I hope to sort through the bags of clothes. I don't think I mentioned that I got another bag for ds the other day from a work friend. How weird that I now have 3 bin bags full of clothes for dc:T If I don't get round to it tonight I will do it tomorrow. They both have full wardrobes atm and some things they don't wear so will sort through the wardrobes too and get piles for ebay/charity and pass on. I have a friend I pass dd's things onto but don't know anyone that needs ds':(

Apart from the postage I haven't spent anything today, yet, but will be popping to Tesco on the way to get dd as I need a few bits.

Right off to sort ds some apple...

Primrose sounds like you are doing fab - not using the card at all is really good!

I love getting bags of clothes for my kids - I hardly ever have to buy mine anything... I am as excited as a kid in a sweet shop sometimes... We were really poor when I was a kid and new clothes were a xmas and birthday luxury. My mum bought stuff from jumble sales for us but it often wasn't to my taste! My kids are really pleased with any "new to them" clothes and don't tend to care where they came from as generally clothes are so much nicer and trendier now....

  • Morning! I have a confession. I spent £5 on a takeaway last night:o and £5 on a new bike for dd today. Although the bike is a BARGAIN (an eagle-eyed friend found it at a bootfair) dd also needs a new cycle helmet and I have to buy a present for dd's friend today. and I need some slippers, isn't it getting chilly in the mornings now? So I will spend a bit today. I might wait and get dd's helmet at a bootfair. She has got a helmet that she can make do with until we find another. She can't yet ride her bike so one of us is always holding it for her at the moment. But being a DFW doesn't mean i can't spend at all, just that I mustn't spend as much as I was and when I do spend I should be as fruggle as possible. I have always looked out for a bargain anyway.

Oh and ds needs new pants:D bless him, he's 3 but very diddy and still wearing 1 1/2-2 year old pants!!

We've got an asda living close by so i'm gonna pop there later to get the present, slippers and pants and look for a bike helmet.

I'm so pleased the end of the school holidays is nearly here. I've tried very hard to sort the childcare for dd so that I don't pay for any of it:o ds still goes to his childminder but last school hols I paid for dd to go to a club or 2. At £50 odd for a week that adds up and I knew realistically I couldn't do that this year. But I have had help from wonderful friends and family so I have managed to not pay:T the last piece of the puzzle was to find one more person for a day this week and i've finally done it:T YIPPPPEEEE!!!

Well done on your bargains. But please please please don't skimp on the bike helmet. Just dropping them can basically make them useless, and you wouldn't know the history of something from a boot fair...

As to the rest, sometimes needs must, but at least now you know what you need, and will get it at the best price.

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
  • Good point chev. I suppose as we're trying to teach her to ride on her own, no stabbilisers, she may well need the helmet more than ever so you're right, I ought to get her a new one. I'll use the rest of my ebay money from the other week.

I'm gonna list more ebay things tonight. Need to potter round the house today to find suitable things:D

I think I asked before, but does anyone know the best place to sell dvd's?
  • oh:( my cc bal is higher than i'd thought:( £6,872. even with no spending last month. Not that I could really the limit is £7k:(

Oh well Rome wasn't built in a day i suppose <<sigh>>
