Happy Payday!!
And Happy birthday for the other day too, hope you had a nice day!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Evening!
I've just switched my electricity supplier. I had my bill the other day and was a bit miffed that I am in credit and they still put the dd up. Ok it was only up by £1 but still WHY?!
So I have switched, and according to Uswitch I should save £140 a year and have a bill credit of £75 :T So this means just over £10 a month less to pay for electricity:T
I need to re-do my soa and see what it looks like now with my new income etc0 -

I know full well that I overspend on food everymonth and I need to improve this. PLANNING is the key, and when I plan meals it really helps. So i'm off to do a plan for this week. Unfortunately food is running low and with the snow there are no delivery slots left and I don't want to go out in the car unless I have to to buy food! But i'll have to at some point.
Right, off to ponder if anything can be done with reducing outgoings as upping income(bar ebaying) is not gonna happen:( I physically can't do anymore work and neither can dh.0 -
OMG there's so much snow outside!!! I bought a sledge a week ago because I heard there might be snow, I assumed that would mean we wouldn't get any but nope it's about a foot deep outside!! As it's been really windy it's deeper in places and if I open the backdoor my utility room will get covered in snow!!
Still it keeps me in and not spending. I really need to buy food though. I had to venture to the local shop and buy their expensive food as we'd nearly run out of bread, milk and washing up liquid! We'll have to eat Spagetti bolognaise for the next 3 nights as I made a batch last night and there's nothing else in!!! I can't even do an online shop as all the slots are gone til next week(and I hope the snow's gone by then) and I doubt they'd be delivering anyway.
The things is our school's christmas fayre is on saturday but I'm fairly sure it'll be off now as it's unlikely to clear up by then:( it's still snowing and forecast to snow all day and it's dh's work do saturday night.
I want to put the christmas decs up but they're in the loft and I need dh to get them. Unbeliveably he has still cycled 4 miles into his work today, nutcase!! He rand to say don't try and go anywhere as there are 2 cars stuck on my road and more stuck on the next road:eek:
In the absence of christmas decs and with ds(3) not wanting to go out in the snow(bless him he's so slight he freezes) we will be tidying the house(fun!!) and making some decorations. I will try and persuade ds to go out on the sledge for a bit but will wait til it's a bit 'warmer' :rotfl: yeah right! But it's gotta to get a bit less cold midday ish?0 -
Welcome to my world of snow, I didnt get in to work yesterday as we have about 2ft DH has been stuck at work for 2 nights. We are forecast more today so im going to venture out shortly, I detest Mr T's but its the only supermarket we have and its still 3 miles away just need a bit of meat to keep us going so skiwear on and i will be off. Do you not have a supermarket you could pull DS to on the slegde ?MARCH 2016 DEBT £25750/ £25035

Our nearest supermarket is Tesco and it's probably only about 3-4 miles but on a massive hill so great on the way there but the way home would be a nightmare!! The local shop is quite stocked up and if the snow goes by Sun/Mon we should be ok. DH's off work on saturday, well he's supposed to be but he might get roped in as the rota'd people will be too far away to get there<<sigh>> so I could walk to the shop childless on Sat.
I was supposed to be working yesterday and today but yesterday dd's school opened 10-2 which was helpful so I couldn't go and today her school's shut. I did warn work as even with a tiny bit of snow dd's school shuts as it's on a hill down a narrow lane.
Bloomin snow!!0 -
DS has been shut since Tuesday I walked home Tuesday night after leaving my car in a pub carpark, but walking about is slightly eerie just abandoned cars and very quiet. Means i have saved loads but work will dock my pay so I lose out in the long run, however my life is not work a few quid that they pay.
Have fun in the snow !!!MARCH 2016 DEBT £25750/ £25035

ok i'm having a little wobble about money, or lack of, it's gonna be very tight again this month and I just want it over

How do you go about sorting it all out when nothing seems to work?
I need to earn more money I guess?
Thing is young kids and more work don't really go together! It's not like I can just do overtime when I feel like it, by the time the evening comes i'm knackered.
Oh well i'm sure when tomorrow comes i'll feel better. I went christmas shopping today, well I say shopping but I didn't really buy anything as it was too busy and I hated it!! I came home with a few bits but nothing really. Not that I could buy much as there's no money:rotfl:
Right, enough moaning i'm off to do some work. Who needs sleep?! Sleep is for wimps
Actually I had a lie in this morning so feel wide awake!0 -
Well, whilst working i've been thinking and i've got to stop being so down about everything. THIS TIME NEXT YEAR THINGS WILL BE DIFFERENT
I am going to try and not worry too much but try to keep costs down as much as I can. I have a work do coming up and i'm going to drive as it's in another town meaning get there is either 2 trains and a taxi or a bus, train, taxi and quite honestly without thinking about the cost it'll be a royal pain in the <<bleep>> to get there, then there's the cost of booze so i'm just gonna drive. I also have a PTA curry night, but that might not be too pricey so i'll have a think about that but may cancel.
I have an £80 credit sat on my electricity account so I may see if I can get them to refund £50, although I have just applied to transfer the electricity so don't want to get into a situation where I owe them money.
I'm hoping also to get a £50 John Lewis voucher this week. I should've got it last week but it didn't show up. Presumably they'll blame the snow?!
Back to work.....0
