Sunnyday mine is out for delivery too!! :T

I've got more or less the same as you except I went for the low noise one and no extra bags, total of mine is a couple of quid cheaper than yours. I don't think anywhere else sells Eiffel ones and they have great reviews so don't worry about the price, I doubt you could have done better.

The cannisters were quite expensive though, double the price of the ones from ebay. I decided to get them however, as it was easier to just get it all at once.

Can't wait to get cracking with it... hope it comes soon!!

Just bringing this thread up again as i'm getting one today and love hearing about the tips and tricks.

Did anyone try Slonik's method with the straw? Sounds brill, will definately be trying this. Slonik if you are still around, did you find the vacuum lasted for a long time?

SB44 So you did know about the jar in cannister thing, I read this before but couldn't grasp it until I saw the youtube video... you are a vacuum master lol!

I wouldn't go that far but yep, I did post it somewhere about the jars in the canister but there are a few threads on this here and there. :D

The lids can get really tight though so make sure you have something to help you unscrew them.

I bought a roll of that anti slip rubber stuff from Poundland and I use a small piece of that as a gripper. ;)

Hope it arrives on time and I hope you have done your housework already, you won't be doing any when your sealer arrives, you will be too busy experimenting!

After saying that I had better get my harris away from here and get some washing up done :rotfl:.

Can anyone who has the Lidl one please confirm that one of the wires is on the outside? It seems wrong to me and I would expect both wires to be under the gold sealing strip?

Right I have mine. I did a block of cheese and its a beautiful thing!

Then I tried a Lidl bag with a straw. It did a good vacuum but didn't seal the straw so the air came back in.

So........ I went to Lidl and bought one of theirs so I could do a comparison. I asked if I could take it back if it wasn't suitable and they said no problem.

I've sealed a Lidl freezer bag with the Lidl machine and first impression is that the vacuum isn't as strong on this one. However I've only done one bag on each so will experiment later, just wanted to do an update for you.

    Its here :D:D

it arrived just as i was leaving work, i thought that i`d have to collect it later but my luck was in.

I`ve got to agree about the price of the cannisters but as you said it made sense to get everything at once, got to laugh at the instruction booklet though :rotfl:

I`ve resisted using it yet, its all unpacked and strewn around the kitchen but i have to go out again soon so i`ll maybe have a little test go with it later. Just waiting for a phone call and then i`ll be dashing off.

If i`ve time i may just pull some onions later and leave them in the excalibur overnight when the leccy is cheaper and then seal them into little packages in the morning *rubs hands*

DH already thinks that i`m crackers, just wait until everything in sight is vac-packed. I can already see the usefulness of the sealer for when DH leaves things lying around that he can`t be bothered to put away. Where`s the evil grinning smiley :rotfl:

Enjoy your experimenting Angelina, i`ll check back later to see how you`re getting on :D

SD if you get a minute will you look on the bottom of yours and tell me what it says? There is nothing on mine to say its the low noise one. The only thing I can see is a little sticker thats been crudely stuck over the model number and mine says FM-05 LN. I assume that means low noise. I have a feeling mine is just the same and i've paid an extra £20!!

Mine says the same underneath, its written FM-05 (L/N) but mine is the freshpack pro model not the low noise one. It does say freshpack pro on the top and also on the instructions too. Does yours say low noise anywhere?

I bought mine direct from the fresherpack website instead of ebay, where did you get yours?

Yup me too, direct from fresherpack not ebay. I think they have sent me the wrong one which is annoying. Mine says freshpack pro on the top just like yours.

There is nothing on mine to suggest it is low noise. Oh I hope I don't have to send it back......... I'm sealing everything!!

How noisy is it? On the site it says near silent operation, i`m off out now but when i`ve tried mine i`ll post back with how noisy it is.

When you see the demo videos of the sealers they all seem quite noisy so you should be able to tell the difference easily i think. I did think about the quieter one but decided that i didn`t want to spend the extra.

    Hope its ok.
