So sorry, Wol. It was obviously Beechie's time to leave, having clearly had a life of comfort and pleasure being cared for and loved. I am so pleased the end was easy and dignified for him.
I held a guinea pig for the first time yesterday. We visited my Dad and stepmum, and they have adopted a guinea pig from another family member. She's a black and tan called Squeaky, and she has clearly made herself at home with my folks. When Dad opened a drawer to get some scissors out in order to cut some grass for her, she started squeaking away like a thing possessed and charging round her run looking out for him. She wolfed down a clump of grass followed by a big lump of cucumber. Apparently she likes red and yellow peppers but isn't keen on the green ones, fussy mare! She obviously knows who the supplier of her food is, as apparently she gets excited when my Dad gets near the run. My DS asked if we could get a guinea pig but I told him a chicken, two fish and a cat are more than enough!
Hope your other furry friends are well. One life - your life - live it!0 -
