Hi Wol, no posts for a week? Are you okay? :(

I've not been on the board much this month - tied up and stressing with work.
So sorry to hear about Grommie. He'll be happily playing with Fleure and keeping an eye on you and the other piggies. He'll be feeling no pain now and you gave him so much love while he was with you. You couldn't have done any more for him.

I hope this week has been better for you and less stressful.
I'll try to pop in a little more often.

    ((((HUGS))))

I am so sorry to hear about Grommie, and sorry I hadn't read earlier, I rather feel anything I could say will be rather defunct being so late and after others have said such nice things.

I know you must be devastated at the moment and rightly so, its hard when the loss is hurting but do remember that he could not have had a better life than the one he had with you, and that many people would have not had the time, understanding or expertise to nurse him and treasure him for as long as you did. I'm also really glad he held on long enough for many of us to meet him.

And with regards to that wagon you are talking of going on, if it didn't have wheels no one would ever fall off, the good thing is that we can climb back on and carry on the journey.

    xx

    Thanx all :beer::beer:

Unfortunately I have recently had confirmed what I suspected - (due to vets !!!! up on dosages) that Grommies death was avoidable...as was his suffering at the end...(due to another vet !!!! up):mad:

Not happy, very angry...HOWEVER..nothing be gained by pursuing it. And in the end - I must remember that I didn't let Grommie down - the VETS DID

Took bull and horns this week and have been AF since monday. :T:T:j:j:j:j:j......plus a lot of really other life-sorting stuff..:j:j:j...... (more on that later ;)) .........really determined now to turn my life around.:D

Was doing great until this pm when all the electrics on GFloor went - I suspect (following Top Totty visit tomorrow morning :D:D) .......'twill mean taking up whole of first floor to sort out problem. :o:mad::mad::mad:

Ahem ......Will the Universe please leave me alone now thank you and concentrate on someone else (pretty please)

So typing this by candlelight...respite required...:rotfl:

    Hugs one and all

Yes - everyone makes mistakes as we are all human....and calculating dosages is always a problem....and its not the first time i have noticed one of my vets getting it wrong.

    More on that below ;)

Wow - well done you :T

I hope I will be able to say the same in two years time - especially the bit about things in the past......

Hi El.......Well perhaps the universe has :rotfl:- I will leave you girlies to be the judge of that ;)..... Phew!! Turns out the problem was another of dodget and bodget's legacies in wiring up the hall ceiling light so an easy fix and no need to wreck the upstairs :T:T .....I have therefore just spent the last 15 minutes holding up said ceiling light fitting while Top totty electrician is on a stepladder above me fixing the wiring....I will not go into (porno)graphic details ......suffice to say it was "up close and personal" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:....and Aunty Smashed is very jealous :D

    Back later :)

I think it was listening to my clients tale of woe a couple of fridays ago that actually made me realise that her story is not much different from mine - except it's her business that got "done over" by the professionals she paid to assist her rather than her personal life. She too had a breakdown, she ended up in business debt with CCJ's , she too relied on an inheritance to help her get back on the straight and narrow....and the point was although I could see it wasn;t her fault she was in the situation she had arrived at.....I have not been able to make the same allowance for myself and still have been bashing myself over the head about the last 3 years and how I could/should have prevented a lot of it :o

My LBM was last sunday - although I have cash flow, I am the equivalent of £80,000 in debt...and close to becoming alcohol-dependent as I have been using it as a means of punishing myself....Now I finally feel I can stop bashing myself over the head and start kicking myself up the bum instead. I have to turn things around NOW, before it;s too late, otherwise things could get very sticky for me by this time next year both health wise and finance wise......

I've been doing a lot of thinking, plannning etc and also reading MG's diary which again, spookily is at the same stage I have reached in terms of having the confidence to go out and get the hourly rate i think I am worth, listing the toxic stuff to get rid of, decluttering etc etc

So each week until Christmas I am going to tackle one area of expenditure, income generation or life issue.

This week I am tackling the food bill - I have bought a chest freezer which is now in Piggy Palace and have over the last month already produced enough batch cooking in terms of soups and meals to last at least 60 days. I still have the kitchen freezer to inventory plus quite a bit in the storecupboard so should be able to make it last until Christmas.

We now have an Aldis near where I live with milk that is 40p per 2L cheaper than Sainsburys -and I can now freeze it in the chest freezer. Romaine lettuce was half the price I normally pay (= £2.00 saving per week on piggy greens)I also went to a Lidls today that is 20 mins drive away and stocked up with carrots at 29p per kilo, Muller fruit corner yoghurts at 25p each, cucmbers (again for the piggies) half price Pringles, and 12 tins of tuna for the price of 8.

Will need to meal plan now and work out my weekly and monthly shopping bills this week and start a spreadsheet to record it all...and identify what I wil be buying from which outlet on a regular basis. Stopping the wine will save me £30 per week straight off :D

Will report back my findings later in the week

The other things that MUST be done this week are the client write up so I can invoice some work this month and the two replies/justifications to the OMbudsman and to the solicitors reference my two complaints - it is very important I ensure I have taken every possible opportunity to try and reclaim some of the financial losses against the insurance company and the surveyor if at all possible

Next week the piggies (who are by far my biggest area of expenditure atm with the rather enormous vets bills this last year) will be having their own SOA done

Other topics to cover include how to restrict Christmas presents expenditure this year; motoring expenses; reducing utility bills; decluttering to generate income via ebay etc; sorting out the wardrobe; and finally a strategy for marketing the business and selling myself to new clients outside the public sector who will actually pay me what I'm worth. After all, the last client I saw had paid one adviser the equivalent of £1000 per day for what was in my opinion, a pretty carp piece of work that i sorted out in the space of 3 hours with her and it didn;t cost her a penny.....(I am paid by a third party but at less than half what the other person charged her)

So these really are the first footsteps on the Renaissance road....and so the journey forwards finally begins....
