The parents have gone to bed - they are still alive - anfd so am I :T:T

(the other trout was quite frankly superlative when cooked - and is obviously now in our tummies :rotfl::rotfl:)

I am still beside myself about wrecking the wallpaper :wall::wall::wall:
Bug Bruv builder came round this pm :eek:_pale__pale_.So, in dread , I delicately confessed my sins to trashing his wallpaper work. :o He looked at the damage (calmly ): he considered (calmly ) : we discussed options (calmly ).....and he took it very very well :A:A(probably because he was cadging a load of stuff off me at the time :D)

Solution is no prob - phew!! Thank the Lord :T:T:T

OK - so I'm off to bed as only got 2 hrs sleep last night :o:o...and that was interrupted because bandit piggie got fed up with being "cuddled" and weed all over me to wake me up :o

Wol, once the family have arrived then provided it's a nice sunny day you could barbecue the trout. Then turn your attention to cooking dinner......

    Hi Wol

Am loving the picture of Ginge in his cage - he is still my favourite:D Sorry to hear about your wallpaper but next time listen to your gut instinct..keep the cages in the lounge, your guests should have manners and not say anything. How is the old trout anyway? Gosh that didnt come out right..I meant to say how was the trout? Now that sounds just as bad but you know what I mean. Sorry to hear about your friend's partner too but at least his passing was peaceful.

I am not going near my parents this weekend because I have caught a sniffle so I wouldn't be allowed to set foot in the house anyway. I seem to have spent the whole weekend cleaning the bathroom floor as the loo has sprung a leak again:mad: and now my washing machine has packed up with a load of water in it which I cannot drain because there is something wrong with the pump:mad::mad: Will have to call the washing machine man on Tuesday.

I have spent the last couple of days tidying my flat - it looks better but isnt finished yet but the recycling bin is looking a lot fuller than it was:D Need to go and prepare my dinner in a while - its sausage casserole cooked from scratch served with curly kale.

Have had to rely on my gut instinct too lately - I was told that I would be joining a trade federation that I had helped set up but I would have to pay a ridiculous amount of money so then the bullying emails started - one saying in a sarky tone "shame you will miss out on the training and conferences" and another saying "I shall be in your area as my other friend is opening a corporate events company in Birmingham and big companies will be there" in other words instead of supporting you we will be supporting them. I don't really care to be honest I have three clients that I am working with to produce training courses and networking events (don't look at me with that face Wol..the networking company are paying me to organise them). I won't ever join the trade Federation because I think it is a con - there are far better trade associations for me to join should I decide to. I found these emails rather tiresome yesterday and at one point nearly caved in for a quiet life - I am glad I didnt cave in because I need to pay for my washing machine to be repaired and my loo (I will get a proper job done on the loo and ask my landlord to pay because his bodgits just bodge the job).

Hope you are getting along with the parents and the trout...remember they will be going home soon.

As long as they pay you ..£££££:T:T:D........well quite frankly anything goes ;)

From my own experience - I got so many "flowery" invites for events/networks etc and I finally twigged that what they really wanted was my time and attention for free - so no benefit for me then :p....hence why i stopped going to "these charity events"

So now my "mantra" is: If I'm THAT good...and THAT valued - then cough up the dosh and pay me what I'm worth - otherwise BUTT OUT!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hugs Hun - it's sounding very positive

    Oh dear.....

Unfortunately about 60 mins ago Grommie had either a stroke or heart attack...... Have rung on-call vets and discussed what we can do (actually she were more interested in how Ginger was doing - I kid you not - without any prompting she immediately said - OOoh you're the lady with Ginger - how is he :rotfl::rotfl:)

Ah hah :idea::idea:- so SHE is the person responsible for all this female fussing he has had at said vets :rotfl::rotfl:)

Anyway - back to the main subject .......Bottom line is that Grommie needs to get through this his'self over the next few hours ..as he is too fragile for car journey or meds tonight...(he is now in small dark area to recover as per instructions...and is still fighting....... and purring when I stroke him ...bless :))...Hopefully he can build strength to travel to vets tomorrow morning and take whatever meds/oxygen etc they decide to give him.

Wol will deffo have no nails left by tomorrow am :o

There is nothing more I can do tonight to help him without stressing him so much that it might cause more harm that good :(....so all I can do is pray he makes it til tomorrow :o

(i.e. I can;t give him the injection he is meant to/should have in this situation because he is too fragile - it's the damned if you do and damned if you don;t scenario and v. painful because I'm not sure which action would cause more/less suffering for him)

So your prayers/positive vibes too would be welcome.:T:T.......he has come so far and quite frankly (and nice Spanish vet thinks like I do) ......it's really not his time to go yet.....

    xxxx

    Hey Grommie

    Keep the faith mate!!

Here he is with Muffin a couple of days ago

Unfortunately 30 mins later, Grommie took an irreversible turn for the worse.

I've just got back from the vets..very sadly Grommie finally passed away 30 mins ago..I am gutted.....:(

The only good thing is that despite fighting on and resisting all attemps to put him to sleep for 2.5 hrs (like the true trooper that he has always been) Grommie wasn;t suffering at all.

I won;t begin to describe how shocked, angry and upset I am about spending the last 2.5hrs pacing the floor in tears in the vets waiting room waiting for Grommie to die; not being able to see him; not knowing what was happening....and being made to feel that Grommie wasn't "an emergency" (and I was just an unwelcome nuiscance) by the trainee vet nurse.:mad::mad:. Never had this happen before - but then again never had a piggie PTS by this vets before - and certainly won;t be doing so again.

RIP Grommie Guinea - my lovely little lad who has been with me for over 6 years and who has given me great joy. I feel priviliged to have enjoyed your company and earned your trust. There is a place next to Fleure for you in Guinea Grove.
