I just phoned Watford and they said that they did not have any in stock! Did someone sneak in and buy it or are they lying to me?!!

I don't know, I think some of the staff are taking them. I actually had a PC World employee tell me that one of these was "being used by a staff member" so they couldn't sell it to me????

I guess you can't blame them, if I worked there I'd snatch it too

Went into half a dozen Curry's and PC Worlds today an no joy! Also found out a Sat Nav would have been useful finding a couple of them! Oh well....

Hi there guys me and the other half have been out hunting here too in Glasgow from the currys and pc worlds i checked they had none, i managed to find a tom tom 500 in comet but was 279.99 but there was only one or 2 and i guess they wouldn't price match as i had nothing in black and white to say that currys and pc world were doing them at the low prices of £129-£150.However from one of the earlier posts i noticed dunbarton store had two and as far as i can see that store is only 13 miles away from me but i guess i will need to phone and check if i can get the phone number:cool:

I got the last one from The Link store in the Ridings, Wakefield. Definitely worth checking these stores as they may have stock.

If somebody could post the product code of the item, it really would help everyone to find them in stock more easily. It should be a 6 digit number, below the product name on the receipt.

Just phone up and ask for a TomTom Go 500. They will then say "Do you mean the 510" and you say "no the 500" then they will say "but this became obsolete 2 months ago" and you say "oh I heard you had 1 or 2 in stock" and then you may be in luck! ;-)

I did that about 5 times yesterday. I actually have 1 Currys holding it for me near where I live but not near work but I could not get there in time yesterday! Grrrr hope they still hold it for me!

I might try The Link now though, I did not think of them before!

I am working near there today but wouldnt waste your time, they have gone, staff are bagging them, after all it is Scotland

Also they say that other branches are calling round to try and buy, the Currys/PC World etc employees are well onto this one

Currys in Ruislip have a display model but it does not have a power lead. I want the complete unit so turned it down. I do not know if it has the memory or not.

They don't answer their phone though! tried all yesterday and then faxed then and they just called back now!
