Is the person selling this house a bit short sighted?

If it's too much for your eyes then there's a magnolia effort on the same road for 7 and a half grand more. I especially like the dressed for sale rear courtyard at this one . Only greenery seems to be some weeds and am not sure whether its a dog or black bin bag in bottom right hand corner.

I really like it... Not sure about the stairs though, looks like they've knocked out a couple of walls to make it open plan - would be interested to see if it is Building Regs approved...
But all that colour is fabulous! My OH likes beige, so I live in a neutral house with lots if colourful rugs and pictures which was our compromise on me liking colour and him not...

I think it's great, maybe not my exact colour tastes but I really hate it when these house selling shows come in and make you paint everything white and magnolia. As though buyers have no imagination. I wanted to view some rental properties recently that needed refurbishing (carpets, walls, etc, they weren't dangerous wrecks) but I wasn't allowed incase it put me off. I do actually have an imagination.
It upsets me especially when people have wood panelling which I know is like 70s my mum has it in a few rooms and they come in and make them paint it white *just incase* the buyers don't like it. Well the buyers can paint it themselves. It's not like you can undo it if someone would actually like it.
Oh the Wilkos where I live has just had a DIY changearound upstairs and now when you go up the escalator you're confronted with a stack of tins of magnolia. *shudder*0 -
You think that's colourful, you should see my village - houses in bright blue, green, lavendar, violet, lemon and pink.....ours is white!
I think you can get away with it near the coast though and it looks really pretty.....the interior of the featured house is vile mind you!"I'm ready for my close-up Mr. DeMille...."0 -
I think it adds character to a well loved house.
I hate magnolia for a start, and why shouldn't people paint their houses and be creative with them?
You should have seen the way our BIL decorated their spare room - took salvador Dali as his inspiration and one wall was an exploding planet made out of papier mache. Guess where all the kids wanted to stay??
He's got a real quirky taste - current wallpaper is this

cream with this weird sort of crop circle/alien spaceship design in rings of green orange and purple. Never fails to start a conversation, along with the (real) sword in the stone on the landing and the purple and yellow main bedroom.
