You can get it cheaper by ringing acer on 01484 319819, hit option one and ask them to do a pricematch for 10% of difference!

Nice spec' - shame about the 1.5 hour battery life.

You can get this which is the 3 Year Collect and Return Upgrade, which doesnt include accidental damage. I am getting this one as my home insurer have confirmed that my laptop will be covered for accidental damage anyway. Acer do a combined warranty and accidental damage pack for around £100.

  • no free delivery on this item anymore but still no detailed specs - taking their time arent they
  • Perhaps they are realising they are selling it too cheep, lets hope
(I have not got a beer gut, its a fuel tank for a love machine)
  • ive cancelled my order, not interested in 512mb ram.
if i had known then what i know now
  • I recon £50 to add another 512Mb of RAM, and I haven't ever filled my 60gig drive on my desktop yet.

So it still seems a reasonable deal, anybody found a better one? Not nearly as good or one that might be cheaper around Christmas time, but a better deal today?

and you do remove your battery whilst it is plugged into the mains?

If you do not then you are slowly but surely killing the life of your battery.

Yes I keep them stored safely and run the laptop without the battery. I will buy a spare one later just in case.
