I would hazard a guess that most CEOs never see their e-mail until someone has screened it and decided if it's important enough. It will be redirected to customer services.

    Snail mail too.

I purchased a pair of trainers from SportsDirect last week for my daughters 8th birthday. The young man said he would knock 10% off as one of the shoes had been on display but there wasnt anything wrong with it..I was rather pleased and thanked him..However at home they were too small so 3days later i returned for an exchange only to be told that i couldnt as they had been reduced so effectivly sold as seen and that i was told this when i bought them...I WAS NOT advised of this otherwise i wouldnt have bought them. Also a friend now tells me that they usually write on the box &/or receipt that item is non-return/refundable..This wasnt done either..I emailed SD who replied telling me i wasnt entitled to exchange as reduced item,i am currently trying to argue my point in that i have no written notification of this on my product so i should be entitled to exchange....am i fighting a losing battle?..any helpfull advice wud be grateflly recieved..Thanks:D
i should like to say that thanks to emailing CEO's directly rather than go though normal customer service I HAVE HAD POSITIVE results from SD who are exchanging the trainers!....also from another issue with VirgingMediaDirect i had a response & positive result from their CEO office within 5hrs!!...why contact the monkeys when you can go direct to the organ grinder.......happy dayyyyyyyys

    Not this again.

If you were to complain to customer services and they said no you could then excalate to a team leader, then a supervisor, then a manager, then a executive manager, then a director, then the managing director and then the CEO. This gives you the opportunity to persuade 8 people to give you what you are asking for.

If however you complain directly to the CEO and they say no, you have nowhere to go as the "monkeys" as you politely refer them to cannot over ride their decision.
  • 'olliesdad' going big guns direct works....why would you take the long route when the short route gets you a quicker result..its a no brainer really....having worked in customer service i know whats what..;)

Glad that I helped and many congrats on getting a successful outcome.

With regards the other unhelpful posts to you, I suggest that you ignore them as I do.

As user Broadstone has said with regards some postings on this forum....'What do you expect from solicitors, accountants, people masquarading as accountants/solicitors, trainee accountacts/solicitors, people masquaraiding that they know the SOGA and consumer rights, etc that contribute to this forum ?

You have my sympathies. Do what I do and ignore them and do your own thing !'

Great result again and many congrats,:):):rotfl::rotfl::D:D:rotfl::)

Ah, you so register a new username and ask a question, log in as sirmarcus and post some erroneous CEO contact details, then log back in later on under the first username and say it worked and thank yourself?

    Phew...

Even by the admittedly low-standards of internet nerds everywhere that sort of behaviour is scraping the bottom of the barrel isn't it!? :rotfl:
