Best 7 Seater?
Hi I want to change our zafirra, still need a 7 seater, but not really fussy on petrol or diesel. We only do approx 10,000 miles a year. Have just had the which report through the post and Galaxys didn't come off to well with users, nor sharons/alhambras. The one that came out best was the toyota, but looked quick on ebay and the prices were like £6500 for a 2001 (I was hoping to get at least a 56/07 zafirra for that!)
What is the best one out there being honest:j

depends on what your actually after, do you need a full time 7 seater, or do you just need a full time 5 seater with the options of 7 seats (like your current zafirra)
the other thing is do you want it big, so you can have 7 seats plus luggage?Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
I pick up 4 children from school each day, but have 5, so with husband if we go off need a 7 seater.
Re luggage, when we rented a cottage recently we took a trailer as we never would have got all the stuff in the car, so why try...Visit beautiful Mid Wales:j0 -
Well you were right about the galaxy etc, with all 7 seats in there's no boot space at all, Don't know about the newer Toyotas but a friend of ours has an older type one and he's had to take our car a few times because he doesn't trust the Toyota to go any further than Tesco without breaking down and needing to be towed home.
Even the 4x4 options like the Isuzu Trooper tend to use the boot space for the back seats so that really only leaves a second hand minibusMum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

I don't mind not having the boot space, we only go off a couple of times a year so you have to compromise on something. I can live with a trailer... at least the kids can take their bikes when we go camping:)Visit beautiful Mid Wales:j0

have you looked at something like the C4 grand picasso?
quick look on autotrader shows that you can get them for under £7000 with under 30k miles on 07 plates, and what car gives them a reasonable write up http://www.whatcar.com/car-reviews/citroen/grand-c4-picasso-mpv/summary/25627-7
another might be the renault grand scenic what car has this http://www.whatcar.com/car-reviews/renault/grand-scenic-mpv/summary/25915-7 once again under £7k can give under 30k miles and a 07 plate
another thing to check would be the JD power survey, http://www.whatcar.com/car-news/jd-power-survey-2010/mpvs/250115Drop a brand challenge

I have seen the C4, I liked the sliding door:), I was interested if there was a definate "dont touch these with a barge pole"Visit beautiful Mid Wales:j0

The Kia Sedona is another one you may want to look at. The rear seats aren't foldable, like they are in the Zafira, and it's a bit of a fiddle to remove them. But they are proper full-sized seats, and there's a fair bit of space in the cabin. As with all of these, you don't have an awful lot of boot space with the rear seats in place, but there is a fair bit more than the Zafira. Another nice touch is the sliding rear doors, which makes extracting children when in a car park a bit easier.0

well the C4 seems to do pretty well in whatcar and has done well in the JD power surveyalthough the renault does seem to do better on mechanical reliabilityDrop a brand challenge
