Bargainbird - (((hugs))) so sorry to read your news x x x x
Rosyred - glad to bring a nice memory back for you of your dog:)
Louie's jab went well - he coped well in the vets - he's now having a nap after all the excitement.
sunny here atm:j so just going to hang the rest of the washing out. DH having a nap too then later we're taking the pigeons off for a training toss and going to the skip with the hedgecuttings - if DHs upto it, he's feeling a bit under the weather atm as he needs a top-up steroid jab for his arthritis.
better crack on xDo what you love :happyhear0 -

Just back from a lovely long walk over local fields, past the Christmas tree farm and through the local nature reserve (woods basically LOL).
Kids enjoyed it although I did spend half of the time with DD on my shoulders  Is it any wonder I have a bad back!
Blackberries aren't really ripe but there are loads
Should be ready for picking by the time we're back off holiday assuming the other locals don't hoover them all up in the mean time
Just stopping to have some lunch before cracking on with the housework.
My lovely neighbour has lent me her new steam mop. You're supposed to be able to clean carpets with it but not convinced.
Rosyred - sorry to hear about your aunt - hope she makes a speedy recovery.
at the ex client who won't pay xx I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

I was looking at a book yesterday about sock toys, it was called Stray Sock Sewing, by Daniel & they were all hand sewn, they are quite small & fiddly so in someways hand sewing would be better.

Hope things aren't too awkward but it must be difficult - sending a hug to you and kids.
Just phoned EA and solicitor to see what is happening with house we are supposed to buy. It will be seven weeks on Friday and no contract, exchange date, completion - nothing. Left another message saying we needed to be moved in August sometime as DD starts sixth form. There is no chain, we sold our house and cash is in the bank, vendors are going to stay with family so can't think what is the hold up. DH is nearly ready to give up - make a private offer elsewhere on a different house and then do the work needed so it will be what we want.
Might make potatato and leek soup later on and try to make home made bread rolls. That would give a choice of soup, salad, rolls or saute potatoes for tea ( left over new potatoes in fridge).
Youngest is back from seeing her sister in Oxford and had great time - they went to London zoo and a heron (or some other big bird) flew into the lion enclosure- it did not fly back out !!!! Two lions fought over it- one won and took its time disposing of its prize.
DD(24) is still looking for a place to rent for when her new job starts in first week in September and her 21 year old sister is still trying to find a job after graduating.
Welcome to suzy  and hugs to pennypincher, Diva and anyone who could do with one.

¡Hola!
Thought I had better pop my head up and say hello! :hello:
BB - sorry to hear your news, must be hard, has DH decided he wants to be a "free student" while he has been studying?
Molly - belated birthday wishes
P-Pin nice to hear from you again, hope it goes OK with the kids.
Diva thinking of you hope you can just pop on and say hello to us soon, it doesn't have to be a Diva special.
RR - sorry to hear about your Aunty.
All those MIA, unwell, unhappy, fedup :grouphug::
Not a lot to report, only seen about 12 drops of rain since we arrived at the end of June, and those were overnight
. Washing up to date, but needs more washing powder/liquid though. Small ironing pile, will tackle that later. HW relatively up to date thanks to DH:A. Just turned the 2 single beds into a large double for the arrival of DS & GF late Thursday they are here for 5 days for my birthday, courtesy of us of course;). Too hot to exercise other than the pool, well that is my excuse anyway.
Sunday we had a community BBQ which was very good. Managed to almost keep to my diet, meat and salad (said no to the sausages) but then had a small piece of gateaux. Did not show any weight gain yesterday, but today did. Very frustrating the swings as I was at my goal, and then not, and kept to diet apart from a small slip.
Tomorow it is go and hear a live group, may eat out before
Yesterday was Salad.
Tonight we may BBQ fish for me, and sausages for DH with - yes you guessed it Salad.
Will have a dip before lunch.
Take care all  DG
P.S. not sure if this is any good for those of you growing veggies?Member #8 of the SKI-ers Club

RosyRed sorry to hear about your Aunt. Hope she's going to be OK.
BargainBird (((HUGS))) and my sincere wishes that it's all as painless as possible, for all concerned.
Wet day in Concrete Cow Country; I managed to nip out with Penny between showers, and she's curled up on the sofa now.;)
Mr LW on Late shift today, but dins is nuked moussaka from yesterday, so I can go ahead and eat if he's 'orribly late.:o
I have tasks I should be getting on with; unfortunately the weather is having bad effects on my joints, so not making an awful lot of progress. Must sort out a meal plan, too; I think we have a plan up to tomorrow, and that's it.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Hya everyone,
Bargainbird so very sorry to hear your news, hope you are keeping OK, thinking of you.
Also thinking of you and your aunt rosyred. Hope she recovers soon.
Making tomato sauce with loads of tomatoes from garden and polytunnel. Found a big fat slug and big fat snail snaffling tomatoes in polytunnel. They're not there any more!
Tomatoes outside are up against a south facing fence and get lots of sun (when there is some.) They have only just started ripening in the last week.
Need to go and pick runner beans now and paint the inside of my cupboard. Oh and look at Hester's button bracelets:)
Cheers to all and hope the day is good for you0
