Oh dear oh dear oh dear
They should drop a bomb on RBS and start allover again. And your broker (no disrespect) does not sound the most experienced. He should have checked about the provisional driving license, and that the ID was acceptable to RBS.
So where has all this claptrap come from saying the mortgage had been declined? Perhaps yuor broker has a sieve for a head and is confusing your cases with someone elses? What made you think it was your sisters bounced direct debits ? What has now happened with the property? Is it back on, back of or is that still not clear.
As I said RBS are pathetic at the moment and I am up in arms with them about two cases, yet I submitted one just three weeks ago and its post offer already (I say already but that is good by RBS standards)
So now you have two mortgage app's running, have paid for two valuations, and been credit checked more than once.....I would be making a complaint to the broker as well as RBS - good job you removed his name from your original post!I am a Mortgage Adviser

i have no idea! nothing mentiond from underwriter about DD's just ID and some more bank statements. broker told me all this Today he said ' they told me on friday afternoon these were the reasons and it wouldnt go thro'. so declined on friday and on monday its been brought back to life!
Broker said that the prov driving L was acceptable when he checked with RBS , but theier saying that they have no recived faxes etc and he is sayin he sent them arghhhhhhh,. perhapes it was my Email i sent at the weekend. Broker thinks its 'amazing' hes been 'trying' to get answers for months and i stamp my feet and shout and its gonna be looked at 1st thing in the morning (if it will is antoher story:rolleyes: )
Builders sales office rang me this morning to saying that our £500 deposit could be moved to another plot on the same develpoment (same house style) but it wouldnt be ready till feb!!!and this might help us for time to sort things, this is good of them. But i really feel as if i dont want a mortage from RBS anyway now as a 1st time buyer its been/is a complete nightmare!
havent had chance to speak to my 'other' broker yet 1st thing in morning job - get me ive got 2!

Hi WMX
I really hope this is going to work out for you, I'm relieved builders have offered you another property on the plot. Plenty of people use more than one broker, it is commonplace - but not to have two mortgage apps running at the same time! If you have paid for both mortgages there's no harm waiting for an offer from each lender and then deciding, but your solicitor might get a bit confused - I would suggest you put them in the picture
There's nothing as stressful as house buying is there? go and have a drink and relax, it sounds like things are not as bad as you first thought!I am a Mortgage Adviser

I know that a lot of lenders and banks have recently changed their Anti-Money laundering ID requirements - some now are very picky about provisional licences.
So where they may have taken them before, they might not do anymore.
Either way - does not make it any easier for you. i hope you get some answers. Also if the faxes were too dark or they did not receive them, they should of asked for them surely.0 -
right - update its been accepted now! (i think) but i need proof of address for my sister they want a 'tax notification sent to her address' and a letter is being sent to her for to sign think its called a 'anti personalization thing??' then the underwriter is sending everthing to the offers dept . is this a good thing??
how can she get her tax notification -she cant find it!?!0 -
