    Good Morning

Since I returned from my hols I've not got back into flylady mode :(
which is really annoying as I'd made a good start on the house.

One excuse is that I'm only accessing Flylady while I'm at work as DS used up all this month's Broadband time at home before we went away:mad:

So I can lurk/post while I'm at work but not fly; and it was the magic flylady dust at home that was motivating me to get off my a*** and do stuff.

AND I've had two unexpected visitors knock on the door recently and HAD TO INVITE THEM IN :eek::eek: ...one was an old schoolfriend that I haven't seen for years, the other was my cousin, who'd never visited before. They simply weren't aware of the unwritten rule that I CHAO....I wanted to die.

But I'm still alive....DS is going to his dad's til tomorrow night (to use their Broadband???) .... and I've blown up the tv ....so tonight I will Fly. Send that magic dust my way after 5pm please ladies.

AF hasn't visited since May, and I'm defo NOT pregnant; is it possible to 'have' a menopause without any hot flushes, night sweats, mood swings? Or is it possible that the fluoxetine has been paving the way for me without me knowing?? Any wise words appreciated on that one!:o

    Have a nice day y'all

  • Fluoxetine may be having a beneficial effect - nurse at GP's said it had several - including reduction in PMT...which I can vouch for...

However maybe you should get checked at the Docs?
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j

I had my weigh and measure last night. I haven't lost any weight again  but have lost another 4.5 inches making 12 inches in total. She's given me a diet and exercise diary to fill in and i've got a push session booked for next week. She did say that muscle is denser than fat and sometimes it can take a while for the lbs to start coming off. I don't think holiday and AF turning up yesterday helped. Oh well i'll get there in the end.
The inches are FAR more important than the weight. When I'm measured (tomorrow :o), as well as doing arm/bust/waist/hip/thigh the trainer uses calipers on my arm, under my shoulder blade and above my hip to calculate my body fat percentage. It's much more accurate than using BMI when it comes to your health. From the point of view of how you FEEL... how do your clothes feel?

I've been for a 3 mile walk this morning, and dropped off some CDs & DVDs and a book that was too crap to pass on to hex :p at the book bank. I need to motivate myself to get out and exercise more, as I haven't been running for a week or so and I'm not walking as much as I used to... OH seems to be taking up quite a bit of my time

Also need to get back on track with the flying as spiders are starting to come in  So will try to get the bedroom and upstairs floors done today...

Oh... and I need to do some work :p

    note to self p 21

the best laid plans of the Valliclan ...

in JULY we had 4 pets (one cat three gerbils)
in AUGUST we have 8 pets 2 cats 6 gerbils as we have taken in 3 of neice's 'accidents'.

DD has removed her cork tiles from wall (they were a noticeboard)

we WERE going to start the prep (sanding/filling) today BUT mum's busy and can't get to Focus (10% discount for being a senior) so we are going tomorrow BUT DD has now been invited to spend night at cousins in Derby (think Zoeamanda territory) and I have promised to take her there and I'm off to Cas Vegas later...ooo just thought...no need to hurry back then, really...

Make sure you get rid of stuff as it gets too big, so you can't grow back into it. Get a belt, so you don't stick your tummy out to hold your jeans up, and make sure you go for regular bra fittings as you lose weight. Otherwise, set yourself targets for when you're going to replace stuff (e.g. when you're a whole size smaller for jeans) as you can't keep buying lots of new stuff - you'll have to do what hex did and have a capsule wardrobe for a bit :D Tops tend to last longer, but anything that's unflattering really needs to go as you lose the weight - and trousers are particularly important. I bought new jeans last week, and it's amazing how good a well-fitting pair of jeans makes you feel!
