Like some of you have mentioned, she just seems to be the kind of person who will mess you about no matter what. She told the agent 'I'm the victim here' ?!?! !!!!!! (as my son would say!) This is all her own doing.
Anyway, I could rant on forever. Thanks for all your support on here, and hope none of you have to go through this nonsense.:)

i would get it back on the market first thing tomorrow and say nothing more to the buyer, if she comes up trumps then alls good otherwise take some joy in the fact she's done a load of money.
i think she's the type who will just string you on and on then let you down, then blame everyone else except for herself...0 -
I pulled out of the sale of my place, just a few days before completion with very similar circumstances to the OP. When the buyer tried for 11k off for new central heating (£3000 in the local paper) thought b0ll0cks to it and ended the sale that day.
On the positive side, took her new tenants on who I showed round just a week or so before the agreed completion date - my solicitor thought it was hilarious
And.. they're still there

dippenhall I really hope your buyer sees sense, and quits her faffing....you have to wonder what people are on sometimes! If she's gone down from £20k to £2.5k in a relatively short time, she'll fold at nothing too. Hold you ground. All the best, and let us know how you get on

ahem... so it nearly worked. It is indeed. Yes but the point being is there is nothing wrong with the house, she just wants it cheaper, so if you went to paypal and said I have just won this in the auction and now my friend has told me I can get one of these round the corner for less they would laugh their socks off at you.This women has never said she wants a reduction because for example, the house has damp etc she has said she has been told it is not worth that much money.0
