Just don't leave collecting the dress to the last minute. I went to collect mine at 5.05pm on the day before my wedding and the shop shut at 5.00.
Luckily the wedding was at 12.00 so I was outside the shop at opening time, in between the hairdressers appointment and the florist's delivery.
I left mine in store at the dress shop as I lived in an old cottage and was worried about damp.
Just before the wedding, the shop went bust, and the owners did a runner with all the stock
Cue a number of tearful and very angry brides on the hunt for their dresses! Amazingly, my Dad managed to track them down (this was in the days long before internet etc, so how he managed to do it, I will never know!) and I managed to retrieve my dress in time.
20 years later, and it still takes up space in my wardrobe. Now that my husband has left me, perhaps I should include doing something with it as one of my 101 things!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Emailed SIL, long chatty email with pics.
Sorted shoe rack and took down an old cupboard in utility room.
All pretty boring things but stuff that I have been procrastinating about. Sort of clogging up my mind.
OnwardsDC.

Just a quick post to update you all. I have completed 10 tasks and have 23 in progress. That's not really enough when you consider I started on 1st January so have only 774 days left on the clock!

The few of my things that I'm working on just now are taking longer than I want them to! Gosh, I'm impatient :rotfl: - reading Sense and Sensibility and knitting a blanket!
I've written a list of Crimbo pressies I'm going to make.
Also thinking about my blog - thinking about a yoga one but kinda out of practiceMight start when I sign up for my yoga teacher training so I can look back on my yogic journey
Ah well, best get off and knit a few more rows of this blanket!0 -

I'm finding it harder to do the tasks which are ongoing - eg try a new recipe every month. The one-offs are easier as I don't have to remember to KEEP doing them.
I don't think I'll add "give up alcohol for a month" to my next list though. DH makes fabulous home made wine which usually lasts all year so we don't even get a lean month when I could cheat.Making magic with fabricLight travels faster than sound. I think this is one of the things I'm going to find challenging, not necessary the doing but the remembering to do. Time to brush up on my planning & time management skills.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
