I will be doing one of my things this weekend - Teaching R to swim. My bf can't swim... I am (in my mothers words) a waterbaby.

The BF is taking me to Bovey Castle for our anniversary this weekend - I am so excited! It has a pool, spa and gym so lots of working out and teaching the boy to swim. CANNOT WAIT!!

Well done DNMS! You're doing super!! xxx
Life is too short not to love what you do.

Congratulations on passing your exams Orange Fairy :T

I hope you have a lovely weekend rdchick :).

Well done on getting your recipe book finished DNMS :T.

I have watched the first 7 Harry Potter films so just need to drag someone to the cinema to see the last one now. Or I might just go on my own - it's not as bad as you think .

Woohoo just completed another item from my list. And it wasnt one i had pledged to do this month. So that helps a bit if we don't get the garden or my project done :j

The thing i have done is......

25 Buy sexy lingerie from La Senza or Ann Summers

Just bought some underwear from La Senza online. I just spotted this on my list so thought i'd have a quick look. They had an offer to get bras for £10 instead of £16 and the little shorts to go with it for £3 instead of £8. So a saving of £11. Seemed an MSE time to do that task! OH will be pleased with this completion! lol x

    Hey gang,

I'm working on #9 - learn to crochet. I've got my 'Crochet for Dummies' book and aiming to make these little money-saving/planet-saving cotton pads: http://gretchkalsloomknitting.wordpress.com/2010/01/01/crocheted-cotton-face-rounds/

Well done on completing another task Orange Fairy - you're flying along with your list :).

I like the look of those pads La escocesa. Let us know what they are like when you get them done.

Sorry I have a bit of catching up to do...

I have a really bad over reaction to EVERYTHING emotionally! Anything happy, sad, songs sung live and people singing along (!!!!!!!), disappointment, compliments, criticism etc etc the list is endless... and I have no idea why I do it - always have done but I'm 22 now and it's stupid. When the boss pulls me in for a meeting about something no doubt I will cry. My review, I was almost in tears, it's just embarrassing and seems to be getting worse!!

I am going to write to: My History teacher from school, my media lecturer from college, a friend who is a playwrite, my parents and one of my friends who I have known since I was 11 who has told me from day one how beautiful and special I am. All of them are male (apart from my mummy lol) and just thinking about them makes me have tears in my eyes as they are amazing peoples :)

    xxxx

What did your doctor say? Maybe you are just an emotional person, I know I am...is it such a bad thing?? I always thought it made me more empathetic (at times, sometimes anger takes over instead, oopsie!) :o

Ah your list is lovely, I am going to consider this for my next list, but I'm not sure I could as two people that have changed my life have done so for the better but through some horrible means...Maybe I could write it & just not send it? :o
    wooohoooooooo

    18 Complete a coloring book - done!!! :j:j:j:j

Finished the last 7 pages this morning! Now i can clear the coloured pencils that have been camping in the lounge for the last 4 days!!

Then i went to bed and read 65 pages of HP7 - so more than my aim. I am now on 200 pages so a third of the way through the book. My minimum for today is to read 100 pages to get to page 300 and be half way through!!!! :D:D:D

I want to check tidal times to see when best to send my message in a bottle!

I hope everyone else is making progress x

Well done! :j I love the message in a bottle idea, always wanted to do that as a kid but never knew what to say haha!
OrangeFairy, you're doing so well. You've done over a third of your list already and you started months after me! Mind you, as I've mentioned before many of mine are challenges for the whole 1001 days, for example #49 - Set monthly goals, and #59 - have at least 10 NSDs per month. I won't be able to tick these off until the end but I haven't missed a month of either of them yet.

My next list will be more realistic I think. I now know what type of things work and what doesn't. ;)

Today I'm working on my monthly goals list, but the 101 things list is never far from my mind so tomorrow I hope to achieve one of them.

A lot of mine are ones like that as well, or ones that are in progress but just can't be ticked off yet as I don't feel as though I have FULLY achieved it. (I am my own worst critic hehe).

Good luck with your lists :)

Hi everyone - I hope you are all having a productive weekend :).

Just wanted to say that I have ticked another task off my list:

    94 - Sponsor an animal.

I have just adopted an elephant with WWF for £3 a month :T. Wasn't one of the tasks that I planned on doing for August, but it all counts :).

Also watched 2 more Harry Potter films yesterday, so only 3 to go now. Should get that completed next week.

    Emz xx

Well done :T I want to sponsor a tiger, but haven't gotten round to it yet as every penny counts towards being debt free & the wedding at the moment so was planning on leaving this until next year, so tempting to do it now though as it's a quick & easy one!
hurrah have just finished my recipe book for my friend (was supposed to be for her birthday in March! :o:rotfl:) oh well good job she loves me & is a very appreciative person. another £2 into the coffers

Will aslo finish 1984 this morning - although this is part of my write a list of 20 books & read them so it'll be a while before I do that one!

gonna update my list now and remind myself of what I thought I could achieve this month.

    Happiness to you all x

ok looked at my list and these are what I intend to do:

    #56 make a pavalova
#64 go to the philosophy group
    #17 make a recipe book for a friend - done 09.08.11
#20 find out more about the world wars
#43 say yes to every invitation for a month
    #44 loose a stone - I have lost 8lbs already so 6 to go!
#78 give blood - last time I went I was low in iron but this time I am forewarned and will take iron supplements with a glass of oj for 10 days before I go!
    #89 make/customise a piece of clothing - I'm going to make a clutch bag

I've just seen I have give blood twice & only 100 things so need to come up with two more...

ok I think that's about all I am achieve

And I've done a quarter of my list already

Wow DNMS you are doing so well! How are you making your clutch bag if you don't mind me asking? As I want to make/customised clothing too but not really got round to this one yet...oops :o It is something I could do for August though!

Wow that sounds fantastic! Have a super duper time & good luck teaching your OH to swim. I didn't learn to swim until a couple of years back now, well, I could kind of swim...but not very well, & I still don't do too well out of my depth - need to work on that (& yes, it's on my list!) lol x
