Finished:
(62) Finish 'Dolls House' cross stitch
(92) De-clutter our bedroom*
*This actually changed to 'De-clutter my bedroom' as the only way to de-clutter it was to turf DH out into the spare room and turn my bedroom into a sanctuary for myself. It's a long, boring story but in essence neither of us can afford to leave so we are stuck sharing a house!
I've decided I need to procrastinate less and am going to try to finish at least four things every month. Many of my things are on-going and will naturally finish at the end of the 1001 days, but the others need to be worked on.:)
Stitchy I can only imagine what that's like! Is it not awkward living in the same place knowing it's over?
I know what you mean with regards to procrastinating, in fairness I am so busy these days (I should really be tidying right now, but true to form I am PROCRASTINATING :rotfl:) so haven't really made a conscious effort to do anything...must change that.stitching_witch wrote: »Finished dolls' house, more or less! just a few tweaks to do, and plenty of furniture and accessories to get plus curtains and bedding to make, although I haven't done badly in 20 years as my ideas have "evolved" somewhat from my original vision :rotfl:

Prom to reboot my enthusiam for the 101 list x
ok just checked out my list & I believe I can tick off 6 in the next month - will let you know as I get on
Blimey DNMS you're going to be busy!
Righty ho a little update from me as I managed to cross something off over the weekend & have made some progress with others:-
Finished:-- Eat a full meal using chopsticks - there's nothing like going to a Japanese restaurant, being seated & then realising they do not have knives & forks AT ALL to make you learn! I didn't do as badly as I thought I might, even when the noodles came round!
- Eat 5 things I've never tried before - I tried crabmeat...wasn't too fond of it to be honest but I gave it a fair go, & now only need to try 1 more thing to be able to cross this off, yay!
- See 10 more bands I'd really like to see - Airbourne & Iron Maiden, both of whom were amazing! I also have Iced Earth & Rammstein lined up so only need to plan 4 more, that'll be done easily enough I'm sure

Well done on your chop sticks
Yesterday after finishing HP6 i spent some time with the kids on my colouring book. I found it more of a chore when i tried doing it before and contemplated slightly changing my taskBut sitting in the sun with the kids yesterday combined with DD1 vowing to finish her colouring book befor me has made it more fun!!
Hello DNMS!!!!! Have you got 6 exciting things planned?
The fact we need to do 3 a month for the whole term of the 1001 days sounds a lot!!!Orange Fairy

I suppose it is a little awkward, but apart from the separate bedrooms (and anything else that entails) it's not that different to before. The first one home still cooks the dinner, I still do our washing together, he pays housekeeping and I pay the bills. None of that has changed. It's more weird than awkward really!!
More progress....
#52 - Pay £1000 off Ll0yds CC. I know it's a bit of a sideways step, but I did a balance transfer to a cheaper card. It does mean my balance with Ll0yds is only £270 so not only have I 'paid off' more than £1000, but in a couple of months the rest will be paid thus completing # 56 (Pay off Ll0yds CC by 27.09.12) super-early :jMaking magic with fabricLight travels faster than sound. Hi Stitching Witch and everyone else
I always look at this thread and mean to join it, but never seemed to get round to it. I think it's a great idea and have had a 101 list for a while now. Although, I kind of lost my way with it and re-jigged some of the items and restarted it a couple of months ago.
My list is here - http://dayzeroproject.com/user/ehallett25 - I would love to get it complete, but there are a lot of travelling ones on there that would require me to either win the holidays or the lottery!! I think I have been slightly ambitious.
I've only got 1 done out of the 101, which is to get a king sized bed. I only paid £30 for it after saving up loads of Amazon vouchers to put towards it.
I am also trying to get the first one completed, which is watch all of the Harry Potter films (I commend you for reading the books Orange Fairy - not sure if I could do that, the films are so much easier). I am on the 3rd film so far and I know that the 4th is on TV on Saturday so that will be halfway through them.
I might have a look through and see if there are any quick ones I can tick off. I guess it's roughly 1 every 9 days that needs doing (934 days to go). I'm going to try for 1 a week until they get more difficult and then see what I can do.
Sorry for rambling a bit there!!

Welcome Emzilla - i shouldnt look at other peoples lists or i find things i wish i had put on mine!
Buy a more professsional Camera would have been a good one for me! Nice lot of fun things on your list.
I never planned to watch the Harry Potter books but i LOVED the films SO much that i just wanted to learn more about story! I have really enjoyed them and with be sad when i have finished this last one!
Read a quarter of of HP7 over the last day. Also have one more page until i get to the middle of my colouring book!! :j lol
Thinking about DNMS's comment about getting 6 done in August so i thought i'd make an August 101 plan. I think if i take one month at a time and plan on trying to do 3 a month then it doesn't seem too much. Obviously it will get harder when all the easy ones are done.
But August is to be a big month
14 Don't eat sweets for a month
18 Complete a colouring book
19 Send a message in a bottle
39 Read all of the Harry Potter books
40 Finish my AAT course
46 Sell all of my CD's
80 Replace the kids under bed boxes with good quality ones
96 Make ourselves a nice garden at the new house :-)
These are all achievable in August. Will have to work a little bit at some - like finish my project for AAT. Results to last 2 exams next week!!!Orange Fairy

Thanks Orange Fairy. I finished watching the 3rd film this morning so am all set for the 4th one on Saturday. The films are okay, but I'm not sure if I want to read the books too. Although it would help me on the 'read 50 books' item on my list.
Speaking of which, I got a couple of books from the library this morning. I'm aiming to read 2 books a month so I can get the 50 books read.

Ooh I didn't know you were a fan! We're seeing them in February - can't wait!
Thank you
Aww I'm glad you're finding more motivation to stick with it, it's all too tempting to change things sometimes because you think it's too far out of reach, but then something happens to change that I find! It's obviously meant to be!
3 a month does sound daunting...I am quite far behind in that respect I think...but then I have an awful lot of in progress so maybe I'm not doing too badly!stitching_witch wrote: »I suppose it is a little awkward, but apart from the separate bedrooms (and anything else that entails) it's not that different to before. Well that's good, at least you can both be grown up enough about it not to ignore or make it harder on each other, & can still live together as if you were just housemates.
Well done on the cc :jHi Stitching Witch and everyone else

Hi Emzilla,
Just took a looky at your list & I'm loving the amount of baking items! Go do one & have fun! I want to bake something this weekend now, hope I have time.
Your travel ones are quite ambitious so maybe it would be easier if you set yourself a target to visit x number of new places? That way if you just so happen to end up going to Hawaii but not Vegas, you have still accomplished a great deal but without feeling like you haven't, it's up to you though it's just a thought. I have similar plans to you with regards to travel but I know there's no chance I will visit even half of the places I want to see in the next 1001 days, which is why I decided to set myself a target of 3 new places. I've booked one already:idea:Debt at July 2012: £12,862.57

Hello
I would love to, but don't think I would make it round to be honest. My sponsored event is going to have to be non-physical.
Will have a look at your list and see if there is anything I can pinch as I'm just re-jigging mine as it was very unrealistic.
