Wow Kel, it sounds like you'll have a busy few weeks ahead. I'm at a bit of a standstill at the moment as I'm still working fulltime and my business and allotment keep be busy at the weekends and in the evenings.
In September I'm hoping to give up another two days a month so I get every Wednesday off, and then I'll be ticking off a couple each week - ha ha!:rotfl:Making magic with fabricLight travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.0 -
Made a good start on Harry Potter. Nearly halfway through the book within a couple of days
Ticked one thing off my list today!!!!
79. Buy 2 50l air tight boxes as a memory box for the loft and a photo box
Just spent two hours in the loft sorting bits and bobs into these boxes. The loft is my last declutter area - but nice to have made a start!
Tomorrow we will pick up the last two boxes for under DD1's bed - then i can tick off
80. Replace the kids under bed boxes with good quality ones :j
DD2 gave me her little glass bottle with a cork in it. I have found the perfect size piece of paper and small band to hold it in a scroll so it will slide in and out. Need to write a message and then send it out to sea!!!
I keep looking through my list and reading things i had forgotten i had put on there like sew a quilt. The idea was to make my niece or nephew a patchwork quilt. Will have to look online to find out where to start!!! xx

Having felt suitably chastised, I headed upstairs and starting cutting and painting the last few beams to go in the dolls' house. They'll be dry enough to glue in tomorrow and then it's only a door handle for DH to fit for me and the interior of the dolls' house is finished. As it depends on DH, it may be a few months before I can cross it off
Whilst waiting for the beams to dry I have grabbed the box of photos and I'm now working my way through them ready to put into albums. That'll be my task for this evening as DH is away tonight and there'll be no TV to distract me. I may be posting tomorrow saying that one is done!
I wonder what else I can do tomorrow before he gets home?Making magic with fabricLight travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.0 -

Woop woop! Progress today......
#100 - Sort photographs and put in albums is finished. This took ages as it was 24 years worth and hundreds of memories and the whole exercise has stirred up some strange emotions. Still, the task is done and crossed off.
#40 - Do dolls' house interior. I've marked it as finished as I'm just waiting for some paint to dry before gluing in the last two beams. There's also the little matter of DH fitting the suffolk latch to the internal door, but that's an added extra that's not essential. Twenty odd years in the planning, and two and a half years in the building but at last I own a dolls' house :j:j:j
I'll take an internal photo with the lights etc later this evening. Now I can start putting in the bits I've collected over the last twenty years and also write a shopping list for the rest of the furniture.
Can you tell I'm an excited, happy stitchy??Making magic with fabricLight travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.0 -
Finished dolls' house, more or less! just a few tweaks to do, and plenty of furniture and accessories to get plus curtains and bedding to make, although I haven't done badly in 20 years as my ideas have "evolved" somewhat from my original vision :rotfl:
I'm pleased with the lighting etc too, and in three weeks I'm off to Essex to wire Josie's Godmother's dolls' house. Is this a new career??
That's two things crossed off my list today! Yay, only another 74 to goMaking magic with fabricLight travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.0 -
Fantastic Stitchy!
I love it!!! Well done you!
You put me to shame. I had plans to finish one thing from my list minimum yesterday. However i forgot to get OH to stop at work so i could pick up the boxes for under DD1's bed! Will try and remember to do it tonight!
Though the things i did do yesterday were not totally unrelated to the list! We went around to garden centres and have a bit more of an idea for the front garden. To make ourselve a nice garden is on the list. Plus i read another 150 pages of Harry Potter.
Also i started trying to sort a bike for DD1 so i can teach her how to ride one!
Will be sorting DD1's bedroom tomorrow i think if i get these boxes! xOrange Fairy
