    Hi
I am a lurker on these boards but I wanted to thank you all for inspiring me to start my own 101 in 1001 list. It is a great help to keep me focussed on what I want in life.
    Thanks again.
    Janine
  • You're very welcome rainbow. It's always nice to have more people to inspire and encourage us. When you get round to writing your list do put a link up. I'm starting to gather ideas for my next 1001 days!

I've not posted on here for a while so here's a bit of an update from me - I've not crossed many off still but I have lots in progress instead.

For example, yesterday I tried sushi for the first time ever so now I only need to try 2 new foods to cross one off. I've also finished 1 out of 10 books (I'm not much of a bookworm, never seem to find the time for it unfortunately so I'm trying to make a bit more time for it) & I've seen 2 out of 10 bands I hope to see. I have another on the cards for July.

I also have a question...I had aimed to have my teeth straightened before getting married (they're not that bad, but I'm disappointed that despite having braces as a teenager they've moved again & are a bit off at the front...) but after looking into it, I can't possibly afford it any time soon! Starts from £2700...so can I replace that with something else or do I just have to leave it destined to not be crossed off?

Glad to see others doing so well, keep it up guys :T

so was Church for you DNMS?

Well done everyone with your progress!

2 weeks until i give blood  Though i have always had slightly low iron - hoping it will be high enough for me to give blood.

I wonder if i have low iron and then go onto iron tablets if they will let me donate once my iron levels are up??

    Hi everyone

I've decided that on Sunday I'm going to 'spend a whole day reading a great book'. Downloaded Room onto my kindle for £2.79 so a nice wee cheap treat :)

I'm having such an awful day today so an early night is in order. :( Catch up tomorrow everyone.

    xx

Hope you're doing better today La Escocesa. I keep seeing that book advertised so let me know if it's any good!

I am planning to give blood on Wednesday, so that will be another one crossed off hopefully! I really don't like needles though so wondering if I can cross off 2 in 1 go as another list item is "Do something out of my comfort zone". What do you think guys?

I still need to think of something suitable to replace the teeth straightening one...hmm...*ponders*

  • La E you just made me gasp with jealousy! I must must must read Room! Maybe will treat myself to it next month if I can stop treating myself to other things...

Orangefairy - no it wasn't for me! But hey I tried it...

    I am currnetly working on:

    17. Make a recipe book for a friend - its one of my best friend's birthday on Monday, and she's not a natural chef & money is a bit tight for them so I am making an easy & frugal recipe book

I am embarking on 44. loose a stone, as of today (armed with La E's article about being successful!)

hope everyone out there is happy x
