Well done littlekel. I bet it tasted as good as it looks.

Quick update - I started redecorating the the bathroom and toilet room and they're almost done, but I do want to make some blinds for them so I shouldn't really tick that off yet.

I also started the quilt for DS1 & his partner. That certainly won't be crossed off for a while!

Thanks....everyone said it tasted very nice and the sponge was perfect! I didn't have any as i don't like icing! Always makes people laugh that i spend like 5 hours making a cake and i don't eat any myself! xx

I quite often cheat and buy a cake to carve up and decorate as i don't enjoy the cake making bit as much and i always worry it wont taste nice!!

Well done with getting on with the bathroom SW!! x

  • Hi everyone

Updated my online list so it now matches the spreadsheet I kept when the site was down. 34 now done :)

Now I need to decide how to best use the £68 in savings to help me complete the next task... I'm thinking maybe theatre tickets or tickets to the comedy club.

There is a comedy festival here in October so probably best waiting until then to complete that task actually...

Shall go check out the theatre listings...

  • I've finished two more tasks this morning; #71 - move the garden fruit bushes and also #6 - redecorate Bathroom and toilet room. Admittedly I haven't made the Roman Blinds yet, but as they didn't have any window coverings before I redecorated I am treating this as finished and the blinds are a little extra.

I found some wonderful fabric for the blinds but at £42 a metre (and I need 3 metres), plus lining fabric, dowelling, curtain rings, cord etc etc etc, it was going to come to about £150 :eek: Time to look for a different fabric I think!

I have updated the dayzero site, and also my notebook, and I now know I have completed 19 tasks and have another 28 in progress. :D

  • I challenged myself to do 3 of my 101 things before the kids went back to school on tuesday!

I finished pride and prejudice today! :D We went out to fly DD2's kite on the burrows but it was too windy and it kept dive bombing to the ground :( That should have been 2 things done but can't cross the kite off. Kept it in the air for a little bit but not enough to warrant ticking that i have flown a kite

Will have to have a good look at my list to see if there are a couple of easier tasks i can do tomorrow! Will be running out of the easiest tasks soon!!

Well done on completing your 2 tasks stitchy xx

I am not actually really concentrating on anything in particular at the moment! I need to get my a$$ in gear!!

Though getting married and have 2 fantastic hens nights will be done in due course and also my AAT course is done in June!

Oh and BIL and SIL booked Centerparcs for a week in November because they want to take us as a sorry for not coming to Cyprus! So that would be off my list :D It is also on SIL's list so it needed to be done!! xx

Forgot to add i have booked my appointment for giving blood!

I am pretty nervous - i have fainted on a few needle occasions!! So pumping out a litre of blood may make me a bit woozy!

I have been told they tell you your blood type while you are there so i can cross that off my list too!! 2 birds, one stone and all that!!

Off to think about growing a vegetable....................

Good on you littlekel for giving blood :A, your ok they don't take a litre its nearer a pint or less. I wish I could still donate blood but having been on the receiving end I'm no longer able to donate. Just try and relax, it maybe worth mentioning your nerves when you go as the staff may have some tips for you.
