I feel so alone

I am alone tonight and really struggling. My husband is out to a stag do and not home until tomorrow.

I just feel so alone. Our son is in bed and it is just me. I want to just go to bed and sleep but I know I won't settle. I will just keep checking my phone in case my husband has text only to be disappointed when I see he hasn't.

I feel like I need a hug. Any tips for getting to tomorrow with as few tears and as much sleep as possible?

Is it because you miss him, or because you are wary of what he might be up to on the stag? *Hugs* either way!

Try and keep busy, and look at the positives (convince yourself of positives!).

Do something that always needs done, but you never get round to, like tidying out the kitchen cupboards, or re-arranging the wardrobe, pair up socks etc.

Time for yourself, run a bubble bath, candles, paint your nails, facemask.

Spend time doing something that will surprise him when he gets home, make the house spotless if its not usually, re-arrange some furniture, bake cookies?

Or just sit and watch the tele/dvd, something that you know he doesn't like, or only watches because he knows you want to, so you don't have to feel guilty.

More space to spread about in the bed! Heat a hot water bottle so its not cold going into it.

^Some things I do when OH is away competing, which he is currently, he'll be back on Monday and I'm going to surprise him at the airport. :)

Watch 'Tonight's The Night' on BBC1. Always makes me smile (and sometimes cry).

And stop checking your phone :)

Biting is excellent. It's like kissing, only there's a winner.

put some music on, dance music.

Dance silly, gr crazy, have a laugh out loud to yourself. let yourself go.

I wish my OH would go out now and again.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
  • ...checking my phone...*checks phone*...I don't know what you mean :)

All these things seem appealing when he is here but not when he is gone - I am such a plum!

I miss him but suffer badly with depression so times like this I struggle a bit more. Was going to pop the little man in bed with me for the night but nap time earlier he just spread out everywhere so that plan was shelved quickly!

When did I become so dependant on his silence sat next to me?!

Read a book, order your favourite take away and then have a long bath? Do you usually feel alone when you're alone?

Ah yeah I checked that out but no one was doing anything. Not even crossing just standing so I got bored :rotfl::rotfl:

Am currently watching friends re-runs. How rubbish :)
