I want to call a UK mobile in Spain - is https://www.simply-fone.com the best way to do this? (I.e., will the calls come out of my minutes to calla UK mobile abroad) thanks..... (i'm on orange.)

No.

Your charges don't depend on where the phone is, so just dial it normally.

The person you are calling will be charged roaming fees for the incoming call.

If they will be there for some time, then they might think about getting a Spanish SIM card for the phone, in which case Simply-Fone would still be no help as they don't cover European mobiles; their rivals PlanetTalkFree and Yourcallworld do though.

No if your calling a UK Mobile in Spain you just dial it normally out of your x-net minutes.It doesnt matter where the UK Mobile is at the time you call it,to benefit from UK inclusive minutes.( Dialling 07744 numbers or other intl access numbers will be of no benefit to you whatsoever.) However the reciever of the call will be charged the appropriate roaming charges to recieve the call.

I want to call a UK mobile (O2) which is Spain, on my Orange mobile.
Orange tell me they charge 35p per minute for this.

Is there a cheaper way?Simply phone say they can't do this.

Are you saying that you are in the UK on Orange and the person you are calling is in Spain with an O2 UK mobile??

If so then you will pay exactly the same to call them in Spain as if they were in the UK. So if you have xnetwork minutes left you will pay nothing otherwise whatever your tariff rate is for crossnet calls.

The difference is that THEY will have to pay to receive calls when in Spain. Depending on their O2 tariff this will be between 28p and 99p per min.

I thought taht true but Orange lady said no. She said it's only Orange to Orange abroad that is included in cross network minutes- and 35p to call my boyfriend as he's on O2.

Does anyone happen to know the cheapest way for someone to call England from a Spanish PAYG mobile?
My boyfriend is studying in Spain for this year and wants to call me(mixture of my mobile and my landline). We'll have VOIP but like the phone too. Can he use a phonecard to call my landline/mobile cheaply? Or a UK access code? He has a UK mobile there too.

Standard tariffs on Spanish SIMs are not to good, but there are some interesting favourite number options.

Or Vodafone Spain has a Tarjeta Vitamina 60 for 1 minutes option, so a call of up to an hour costs 40c.

Then use a calling card access, like Bizon for 2c per minute for landlines. A bit cheaper than the calling card, if you have an incoming VoIP UK number, look into Sipbroker, which means you can reach a SIP address via a local Spanish pstn number.

Another option - use two Vodafone UK SIMs, the UK one on Stop-the-clock, the one abroad on Passport. Then an off-peak call of up to an hour from the UK one costs 15p on that one, 75p on the roaming one.

It does not matter where the UK Mobile is at the time you call it, or what network it is on for you to benefit from x-network inclusive minutes. However if the reciever of the call is abroad they will be charged to receive the call.

I've tried planetalk, yourcallworld and simply fone, but none work on the weekend to call a Spanish mobile. Are there any other phone numbers I can use to calla Spanish mob using my Orange minutes?
