Orange £80 Quidco Cashback and FREE XBOX 360 - Does an additional handset qualify?

HI guys,

I am just about to purchase a new orange contract through quidco so I can get a free xbox 360 and £80 cashback (on offer until 15th August).

I already have an orange contract that my mum uses in my name. Can I add this new contract to the existing account as an additional handset at the basket and still qualify for the promotion?
It doesnt say anywhere on the quidco page about not being for existing customers taking out a new contract.

but it does say next to the cashback amount "£80for Pay Monthly contract phone connections, new customers only (per transaction, not per phone basis)*"

Does this "new customers only" mean people who dont already have an orange account, i.e. a new credit check? Or does a new contract on an existing account still qualify?


If anyone has purchased an additional handset with quidco cashback before it'd be great to know if it worked or not!

Its for new customers only. If you add a handset to an acc you're not classed as a new customer. You'd need to open a completely new acc to qualify.

OK, seems a bit of a bummer.

Is this from own experience? Because it only says on the orange quidco site that cashback wont be paid on upgrades, doesnt mention anything about additional lines.

I have trawled the net and cannot find anything to suggest that cashback will not be paid on additional handsets when purchasing through cashback sites.

So I took advantage of the £80/Xbox 360 deal and after purchasing yesterday at 2pm it still hasnt tracked. I called orange to cancel the order as I thought maybe my cookie settings were wrong and was going to try again, but the order has already been processed so I need to wait till the order comes out until I cancel it again.

Also - which I thought might be causing the problem - the orange contract I ordered is in my mother's name, but my quidco account is in my name, would this stop this validating and therefore I wouldnt get the advertised freebies or would this just be silently breaking there T&Cs but in general will still work?

I signed up for AA car insurance in my grandmothers name before and I got paid successfully, dont know if its different for phone contracts though.
If anyone could shed any light on this that would be great.

Would a new contract be also a PAYG going onto a contract phone ?

Yes, a PAYG moving to contract. Basically you take out the contract and once its connected you call 08000790200 to port over your payg number

Hi, I took up this offer and have not received either the Xbox or the £80 although it tracked almost straight away, has anyone else received theirs?

Yeh I got my Xbox, and I got my £80, the Xbox took about a month to come, the cashback came the month after

I applied for this deal as you can see at the top of the thread.

For a start it didn't even track and I had to manually do a cashback query.

It is still showing as tracked. No sign of xbox or cashback.
they mailed me last month and said it has been passed to the retailer and will take up to 80 days to change to validated. When it has been validated they will them send the xbox.

Total !!!!!!!! and misadvertising if u ask me!
