mother claiming csa arrears from daughters

It will be interesting to learn what the law says on this, since it was an insurance policy that should be passed on to the children, then the csa/mum would have to sue the children.
Just can't see the charge being succesful.
As the policy proceeds are not part of the estate.0 -

i see alot of people saying he never supported his kids, she has a rite to this money, its the law, she sacrifised, never mind wats legal and wat people went without kids or parents, ask yourselfs if your children were getting money and you could take it would you
Damn right, they have had enough from me :rotfl:0 -
I DONT KNOW HONESTLY havnt got a clue regarding it how it works,
I don't either as I'm not a lawyer, you said in another post that you would seek advice on Monday(today) .
In the meantime though have a think, those that are telling you that you owe to your mother, how many of those have back paid their parents the cost to raise them? Are those same people going to levy a bill on their children too? Your Dad left the policy for YOU not your Mum, give her a gift if you wish. Or if you are now feeling guilty (which you should not) don't cash the policy and no one gets anything :j0 -
Can you translate this because it doesn't make one iota of sense! Nice to see you spelling mistakes are exactly the same as your "wife" :rotfl:Hi people i am cheza husband, just like to say i was raised by mother and she said to me she never wanted anything from my dad and never asked if they aint good enough to give it then she wouldnt want, and she says in this case she does not agree with my wives mum, as wat she is now doing is just pouring down the drain all the hardwork she did wen she ws raising her kids by going for this money, she struggled and got through and now is saying i want paid for raising my kids.*SIGH*

Let's make sure we are all perfectly aware that if your mother and father had divorced 25 years ago child support would have been set by the court not the CSA. The CSA was not established until 1993.I understand wat your saying, but why would she do it now, they divorced 25 years ago and if a original claim was in place it was never persued by my mother after that( my mother and father reconciled 13 years ago and were friends if she wanted money from him in the last 25 years she didnt fight for it only now when he passed away and the only estate there is is the 65000 life insurance that my mother knew he put in place for his three children and his funeral) and if it was brought up he would of gave her something, my father is not innocent in all this he should of paid at the time. Im not arguein the legality of the situation just dont believe wat she is doin is rite and she shouldnt gain from my fathers death, i was after more info on the situation of longtime arrears in child support*SIGH*

PMSL - Clearly they went to the same school. Expect a similar post shortly from Cheza's brother, sister and 3rd cousin 3 times removed :rotfl:0 -

Personally it sounds like we will see the whole family on Jeremy Kyle shortly. My sympathies are with the mother even though she clearly disregarded her childrens educational needs. She originally 'asked' for 5k out of a 60k pot, obviously Cheza has worked out how many shell suits and burberry scarfs her share of this 5k would buy and is aggrieved.0 -
