How do i complain about jobcentre
Comments
-
So whilst I'm not condoning people losing it. It's quite understandable for them to do so. Especially when they are making such basic mistakes like that

I have had similar issues with the job centre in the past. I also have mental health issues which mean controlling temper can be difficult.
I would NEVER lose it like this. It is completely ridiculous.
Now the best next step for the OP would be for the arrest to be followed up with some good mental health/substance abuse help but that will never happen. Continue the revolving door.0 -
Of course if they were racist and actually physically pushed your partner out of the way they were in the wrong as well. But two wrongs don't make a right. I would not complain about this as it sounds like the party who would come out of it looking the worst is you. And that is based on seeing it from YOUR point of view. Add in the other sides and there would be no chance of you winning.0

It makes me cringe when people refer to recieving benefits as being ''paid''. Being paid is an exchange of labour for money or goods...what you are getting are benefits....With love, POSR

EXACTLY.
I nearly lost a friend when she put an update on facebook about getting "paid" by the jobcentre and I very nearly corrected her. If it wasn't for mutual friends and the difficulty that would have caused I would have corrected her instantly.
Some people will no doubt be around correcting this soon but just check the dictionary (I just checked about 5 online and all agree with posr).0 -
You are taking about one experience compared to the millions across the country that are paid benefit every day. A computer pays you, the same computer pays all benefits it is designed and built by the government, it has faults it would probably work more effectively if it was a monkey!
Of course it's all the computers fault. :T
Frankly the staff can stew in their own juices rather than the rest of us having to deal with the problems they create.0 -

I never said it was all the computers fault, I was trying to explain everyone is quick to blame the person who signed them on when their benefit doesn't arrive but that is not always the case.0 -

I think you're being a little harsh on your friend, you might be right about the technical definition but a lot of people think of 'paying' as just handing over or exchanging money for whatever reason, they probably weren't trying to make a statement.
OK I looked it up:
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/paid
Definition number 5 could be viewed as fitting.0 -
A decision maker did look at my claim and closed it. I never completed a form and neither did my partner. I have rang up the people who pay us and they blame the job centre and say they get hundreds of calls a day as jobcentre staff can not do their job right. Not saying all jobcentre staff are like that but most just cant be botherd.0

But they knew that you were attending a plastering course that they sent you on?
How many hours per week is the course?
Do they expect you to quit the course half way through if you find a fulltime job?
I'm confused.
What is the plastering course like?
Im trying to find one myself as im lost for ideas for jobs and cant seem to get anything, and so I guess the next step is some sort of training.0 -
Can I ask how you got on a plastering course? Its something I would like to do very much0
