orange CS are useless
i am so angry with orange customer services, last week i upgraded my P.A.Y.G phone, i told the shop assistant i wanted to keep my old number, she did everything on the computer for the upgrade, and told me the number will be changed over within 24 hours, that didn't happen, rang CS and explained, they told me that she didn't register the new sim, so it couldn't be swapped, so they registered the new sim and told me again that it would change in 24 hours, again that didn't happen, rang them back again, spoke to someone different who told me that because the new sim was now registered with a new number they can't change it to my old number, so they contradicted themselves, they said they would send me a new sim, when i reminded them it needed to be a 3G sim i was told they were not allowed to send 3G sims, so i had to go back to the shop and get them to sort it out, went back yesterday and saw the original sales assistant and explained what had happened, she tried again on the computer and it wouldn't go through, so she rang them, she was on the phone for ages, and she said she'd hopefully sorted it out, if it dosen't i was to ring her at the shop today, and she would see what she could do, guess what, it still hasn't gone through, i keep trying to ring the shop and no-one has answered the phone all day, i am so annoyed with them, i'm going back to the shop tomorrow and getting a refund on the phone and asking for a PUK code and i'm going to go elsewhere, sorry rant over
wins so far:- absolutely nothing, not even an arguement:mad:

For a start it is a PAC code, not a PUK code as the latter is an unlocking code, not a transfer code.
Also, you didn't say whether or not it was an Orange shop or a 3rd party.
Certainly 3rd parties often !!!! things up and blame the network. Even Orange shops do not equate to Orange Customer Services.
More info, please.0 -
You won't find it any easier else where!
I ported a number from virgin, vodafone, o2 and orange and it was nightmare everytime because payg isn't much of money spinner for the big networks so they don't invest lots of resources making it smooth and easy. I find pay monthly you get treated like an adult where as with payg you get treated like a child.
When i got my upgraded iphone 4 my old and new sim transfer happen in about an hour you get that from an payg network!0 -
sorry, it was an orange shop, went in there today and they tried another 3G sim, (which they wanted to charge me £5 but i flatly refused to pay anymore for it, it's cost me enough already with phone calls, and bus fare back into town) up to now it still hasn't transfered :mad:For a start it is a PAC code, not a PUK code as the latter is an unlocking code, not a transfer code.

rang again this morning, they reckon it because the new sims have been registered and issued a new number, now ive got to go back into town to the shop again for another sim, and they refused to give me any contact details to complain, i've emailed them last week about this but still haven't heard anything, i'm trying to keep calm but its very hardwins so far:- absolutely nothing, not even an arguement:mad:0

For a start its a PAC, not a PAC code.
If it's as you say it would be a "Port Authorisation Code Code";)
You are, of course, technically and grammatically correct.
However, you have lost any of your street cred / forum authority as everyone who has anything to do with mobile phones calls them PAC codes. :beer:0
